Hi Johanna;

I spotted your question on the Vendor board but since I'm not a vendor I didn't want to post there.

My reception is a Leonard's too. There is a little park in Great Neck with a Gazebo. You may need to contact the town of Great Neck. Same for the Village of Kensington - there's another nice little park there, but again, you'd need to find out what you need in the way of permissions and permits.

There is also the dock/waterfront area in Port Washington - if I recall, it's at the end of the street that goes past the train station. There is also a nice park in Roslyn, although I seem to recall that goose droppings could be a problem there.

There's a waterfront area near Douglaston and Northern Blvd - don't recall what expressway that is - maybe the Cross Island - lots of recreational stuff there. There's also Flushing Meadows - not the nicest, but you might stop to get some interesting shots near the World's Fair globe - that could look pretty fantastic.

Good Luck! Karen

Hi Johanna;

Planning is going well - just lots of little details. We got our first wedding gift delivered to the house yesterday!!! Even Fi was excited a little.

We're probably going to concentrate on photos at the hotel where I'm getting ready - it has a nice Art Deco interior and maybe I'll go across the way to the park if the weather is good and I'm on schedule. Our church has some nice areas where we might grab some shots too. Our reception is right after the ceremony, so we're not going to worry much about really scenic photos. Fi didn't care about that stuff and I figured I don't need the added stress - we'll just concentrate on lots of candid and fun shots at the church and reception for the most part.

Karen
