John Anthony, my TODDLER.. May I brag a little???

HE's GROWING TOOO FAST !!! and making mommy have heart attacks...

A few months ago, we saw a little boy at a restaurant, and his mom said he was 13m old, and mentioned that in the past month, almost like overnight, he began comprehending and understanding SOOO MUCHHH MORE!!! and we just have seen the same thing!!

A few NewsFlashes that come faster than we expect...(Im sure all you mommies can agree!)

*He BITES
- If you are telling him 'NO!' or taking him away from something, he reaches for and bites your hand (Well moreso to mommy than anyone else ) We'll call it a 'lovebite'

*HE CLIMBS CLIMBS CLIMBS anything and everything. TWICE he fell from our fireplace mantle, which is about 8inches off the ground. I try to walk over to him calmly, so as not to startle him, but both times he 'walked' off and didnt get hurt either time, thank God. Fell right onto the berber rug and got a red bruise that wore off in a few hours.

Is all this normal for this age? Is it a BOY thing? HELPPP!

OK good ones.

He KISSES DADDY yesterday! He's been 'kissing' (A-La fishie kiss) for the past month or so, but never reached or leaned into your cheek. But yesterday, out of the blue, he mimicked what John did. John kissed him on the cheek (part of his half hour smothering when he gets home from work ) and goes 'MWAH', then all of a sudden John Anthony did it right back, with the sound effect and all !! IT WAS SOO CUTE !!!

He's growing and understanding sooo much!

In the past month or two:

*He brings a book to us, and sits in our laps. LOVEEES LOVES LOVES LOVES books. ANY BOOK will soothe him, 'take him away' and keep him occuppied. If I say a line or 2 from a book, he goes and gets it... its the cutest thing... Last week, John was reading him a book, and asks him 'is this little boy taking off his sock???' and all of a sudden, JA took his sock off! John was like

It just blows your mind when you dont expect it and you see these little milestones!

He says so many words, in Italian and English and he understands some of both languages.

Its too much for a mommy to handle!!
From a little babbling baby, I feel like I all of a sudden have conversations with him!

Well thanks for listening to me ramble about my BIG BOY!!

I added a pic, so I dont have to hear all the requests for peekshures
This was late October.
We have tONS MORE to upload since then...

ETA: OH OH OH, May I add, Im very proud, he's been with NO BINKY AT ALL for the past four days !!! NO troubles or crankiness. He's perfectly fine and content, and I have it around incase we feel it would be needed.
Im so proud of him!

Why is the resized pic so small ??

He sounds like he is doing amazing Anna!!

Having a child so close to JA, I can tell you, the climbing thing is very popular, I cant believe where Luke can get to if you give him a few seconds of unsupervised time.

He sounds super smart, isnt it amazing what they understand? That's wonderful that he is learning both languages, he'll grow up fluent.

Good for you getting kisses! Luke is stingy with his kisses - he does give nice 'aahs' though (hugs)

Brag away anytime girlie. Cant wait to hear the 'brag sessions' for your 2 babies It's a Mommy's right!!

Oh Anna, he sounds just precious! My 2 year old twin nephews are into the biting too and one does it to the other A LOT! That is scary, I guess just a sign of their frustration! I think it is a boy thing with the climbing.

The MWAH thing sounds adorable. Wait till he says I love you back! I melt when my nephews do that and I remember it all the time!!

LOL. so the climbing is normal
At the gym today, he was standing on a chair

OH, and May I mention, he's been EXTREMELY ATTACHED to daddy!!!! I think its really adorable actually.

But he's GLUED to his daddy when he's home. and in the middle of the night, if I go get him when he cries (another phase-the past 2 weeks of him getting up at night! to be held or just sleep in daddy's arms or near daddy!) IF I go get him, he keeps looking at the door, as he tries to squirm out of my arms, and whines through his sleepy eyes 'DA DEE !!' until Daddy comes.
He falls asleep EVERY NIGHT, right around daddy, as they both lay on the carpet watching tv and reading books and playing. (I join in sometimes, but I think their BOY BONDING time is so precious) HE MUST fall asleep either leaning on daddy's legs or arms, or draped over his knee or SOMETHING within an inch of daddy. He lays by his feet sometimes too, its the cutest thing. HE HAS to snuggle up by daddy to fall asleep... It reminds me of what a puppy or kitten would do!

i LOVE hearing the updates! My sister used to bite me ALL the time. It was awful. Such a subtle way of getting what she wanted.....

Sounds like he is moving along at record pace! You should be writing all this down!!!!!

That picture is adorable. He is a only little older than Annalise and seems to be doing many of the same things. Are you telling me I can look forward to some biting and injuries from climbing soon? I go through the same problem when I tell her no and try to take something away. She has not actually bitten me. She just opens her mouth on my hand and I can sometimes feel her teeth. The biting stage seems to be quickly approaching. She is starting to climb alot. Today she was in the car at the grocery store (the kind attached to the cart). The belt was a little loose so she managed to turn around and stand on the seat. Unless I can get the belt tighter next time, I think she has to go back in the seat where I normally keep my produce. Gone are the days where she just drives the car and beeps the horn.

Awe, Anna I can't believe how big he sounds! It all goes sooooo fast...but, I have to say, I envy you since you have another one 'on the way' already...I am so looking forward to (hopefully) having another one soon! I am starting to really miss those infancy days....but, wonder how I'll do with two!

Congrats on ALL of JA's recent milestones! Enjoy every *gulp* minute of little boyhood!

Thanks girls

Claud, I have to say, with all these new 'milestones' (especially the tantrums and biting ) Im wondering if I should have planned more carefully and spaced em out more
I hope Im not overwhelmed... Im sure there will be tough days (or months ) but im sure we'll get through it... when theyre off to school... I should have said years!
BOY will I need you ladies to vent to next year!

Claud-Im sure you will be blessed with another precious one soon
