John Anthony`s - Married there this past September - Excellent!
You will not be disappointed with John Anthony`s. Everything is absolutely wonderful. The service is great, the food is delicious, the staff is very helpful and professional. I have not one regret or second thought about having had our wedding there, and John Anthony`s was the one and only place we looked. The cocktail hour has an amazing amount of food! We truly believe we had a sensational deal with John Anthony`s. They are so reasonably priced. I can`t imagine we could have gone anywhere else, paying more money, and gotten anything better. I wonder, what do other people get by spending so much more per plate?? I can`t say enough about what a great place this is. I`ve never heard any complaints either prior to the wedding or after the wedding, and that covers a lot of people. I wanted someplace on the water, and when I asked the girls on this board, and they pointed me to John Anthony`s, and I`ve never heard negative feedback here. We got lots of ohs and ahs from vendors when we told them that`s where our reception would be. And we`ve known people who attended other weddings there, and they also loved the place. It may not be as dazzling or as big as other places. It may not have the gorgeous gardens of other places. But, if you`re looking for a place on the water with a fair price, that delivers more than you could have imagined, this is the place for you. You can do a search of old messages, I`ve posted many times on what great experiences we`ve had with them .. and that goes back to right from the very first day we looked at them. One of the things that impressed me from the start with them, was how we just showed up several times without an appointment hoping to see the place, and they handled us without hesitation each time. I`ll never forget any of those days. The very first day, my husband and I just decided to drive past and take a look. When we got there, I wanted to go in, so we did. They took their time walking us through. It was truly great. On several other occasions, we dropped in with my parents, then again with my sister-in-law (MOH), and finally with my bridesmaid. Each time they treated us with courtesy and professionalism, and are always so pleasant.

I looked at 6 places and my final choice was between John Anthony's and the Woodbury Country Club. John Anthony's had a great price and I have heard nothing but good things about them (especially their food). My wedding is set for 7/4/03 and back in June, JA already had one of the rooms booked for this date. We ended up going with WCC, because I wanted the gardens and reflecting pool and I had a choice of rooms, whereas with JA one was already taken (the one that I would have preferred). JA has an excellent reputation and I went there twice and both times they were pleasant. Good luck!Welcome New Vendors
