John Anthony's Brides.....***PAGING PAIZ

I have some questions:
1) Do they give us the place cards (the little card with where everyone is sitting) to fill out or do they do them and do they provide the little holder thingies or do I have to buy them? By holder thingies I mean the things that hold the placecards...or are they folded kind that just rest on their own?

2) How far in advance do they want the menu selections?

3) Do I need to provide a bathroom basket (someone told me the other day that brides have to provide a basket with hairspray, deodorant, safety pins etc for the ladies' bathroom)

4) Do we tip the maitre'd the day of in cash or is it part of the payment and

5) How much do you tip the bridal attendant?

6) How many cake designs do they give you to choose from and when does the cake have to be chosen?

HI!!!! Yes, I'm a JAs bride too (but haven't done too much yet)'
They do give the cards but I don't think a holder....they stand on their own.

We DO NOT need a bathroom basket, they put one in there.

I'm not sure about the menu (I will choose soon b/c I want to make up menu cards)

Not sure about maitre'd fee or bridal attendent or cake designs...I think 3

Paiz is getting married there next weekend so she may know some of the answers!!

Hi, im a ja's bride and they told me that the maitred tip is 300-500. the 300 is part of the contract and you give that with the final payment. Anything more you want to give is based on your satisfaction with the service you recieve that day.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! They have $500 on my contract for the maitr'd fee....I don't have a choice. 7-11 When did you book????

Me too, Betty. They made it clear that was the maitre'd fee and non-negotiable. It essentially raised our per head price by about $3 a head. FH was like 'That's no deal!!!!'

I agree but didn't know any better until I came on here and started seeing that people are paying less!! All I have to say is the Maitr'd BETTER be perfect and at my beck and call

But the maitre'd is totally DIFFERENT from the bridal attendant, right? The bridal attendant attends to MY needs, right? Bustle, BMS, food, etc?

YEP!!!! More $$$$$. The Maitre'd looks over the whole affair and makes sure it runs smoothly. The bridal attendant takes care of YOU

i booked last april and they made it clear that the maitre'd got at least 300 and it was built into the contract.

Sorry - I haven't been on the boards much lately...trying to get back to reality, but it's been hard. I loved living in my dream world for a little while. In answer to your ?s...

They give you the place cards that you have to fill out. There are no holders, they are more along the lines of tent cards, but they'll fold them and put them out. FYI, they are going to want your guest list filled out by table and alphabetically.

Menu selections are done approx 2-3 weeks beforehand. They will want your final count 5 days before hand and then you come in the next day with your final payment. I am having a brain fart about the maitre'd payment, but I'll check on it for you and get back to you ASAP. I know we paid part of it with the final payment, I just don't remember if we paid all of it.

No bathroom basket necessary.

Bridal attendant tip is up to you the day of.

You choose the cake when you choose your menu. It's a 4 tiered cake, you decide if you want the tiers separate or together. And you decide what colors, if any you want. I'll post the cake choices when I get home tonight.

They put 500 on my contract. I'm getting married there next year. I bought placecard holders do you think they will set them up? I would love to see the cakes
