Re: John Edwards...

HOW FUNNY I WAS WATCHING HIM ON LARRY KING LAST NIGHT:) THE ONLY THING I CAN COMMENT ON ANY TYPE OF MEDIUM IS IF YOU HAVE AN EXPERIENCE THAT ABSOLUTLEY BLOWS YOUR MIND THEN YOU WANT TO BELIEVE SOMEWHAT, BUT THERE ARE A MILLION PHONIES OUT THERE:)

Re: John Edwards...

I went to see him once. I was skeptical but my friend had a private session with him a few years ago, before he became so popular and he guessed eveything & blew her mind so who knows.

Re: John Edwards...

I totally believe in everything he does, he really amazes me... I have been on the private session waiting list since July of 2000... this was before the show got started... now they don't even take people, I think it's 3 years long... I still haven't gotten the call.. and as of a few months ago, they called to tell me they are only up to April of 2000!!! So I will let you know when I finally get the call!!!

Re: John Edwards...

I would love to go give it a try for myself but I mostly belive its BS.

Especially when he says things like 'Do you know a Mary?' Who doesn't know a Mary? And for those that don't, then he start in with the 'Do you know a Marie or a Margaret or a Mara...somthing with a Ma.'

Re: John Edwards...

LOL Stef - so true. Most of them are so purposely vague, it's can apply to anyone. I have heard good things about this one, but I'm still very skeptical.

Re: John Edwards...

I dont beleive it... at all.

Sure its entertaining to watch, and they even say its for 'entertainment purposes only' at some point in the credits. and also, note, it was on the SCI-FI channel for so long, before it came to CH 2. Sure, we all want to beleive that magic is real too (and then we see the MAGICIANS REVEALED SHOWS like the one that was just on tonite).

I really think shows like this are all set up. There was one guy that 'healed people' I forget exactly which show or what his name was. well he was revealed, and they showed that he was wearing an earpiece throughout all his shows, from which he heard his wife, his partner in crime, give him info on the audience (from cards they filled out), info such as name, and illness they are suffering from ....
and the power of the mind is unbeleivable. If someone (A Dr) says you are going to get better, you will beleive it and get better, and if they tell you that you are SICK, you will beleive that too...
or if you STRONGLY beleive one or the other in your mind, you will make yourself SICK or better.. (and thats a whole other story, hypochondriacs, lol.) and why do they PUSH these people down with such a force that knocks them to the ground ? Just to look and appear powerful.

There are also so many things about John Edwards that makes you say 'come ON'. He speaks so fast that its distracting. You dont have enough time to register all the mistakes he makes. I think if we if we replay a show in slow motion, the ratio of wrong to right would surprise us. Obviously all he focuses on are the answers that are LEADING to something vaguely familiar to the audience member. and the person is usually feeding him the answers as the show goes on.
Also as Stef said, why does he just say 'something with the letter J' and not the full name ? Why would he know only parts of this info ? Why is everything he says so vague ? The throat area, or the neck, or the upper body, he stretches his limits until someone budges.. Id love to see the REVEALED SHOW on him in a few years )or hopefully sooner!)

Sorry I rambled on, thats just my opinion. Sure we all want to beleive these psychics, its comforting to hear that our loved ones are still with us, or that our Aunt Lilly will be cured of her terminal illness. But we dont need a total stranger to make a profit off of our vulnerability at such a time. Horrible.

I once saw a clip on the Indian guy, that claims to heal people. (sorry forgot name). and one family gave him TONS of 'donations' because he said their son who was braindead would be healed. Well the child died, after they 'donated' THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS to this guy, and they continued to 'donate' even after the child had passed.
They also showed the house of the 'preacher', talk about lifestyles of the rich and famous.
SHAME SHAME is all I have to say.

Re: John Edwards...

I saw that 60 minutes show about the guy who was supposely 'healing' the brain damage child. That was so sad!

At least John Edwards isn't bleeding the poor.

Re: John Edwards...

I've gotten read by two mediums and I totally believe in that stuff, but I do understand that there are a bunch of con artists out there. When I was read, they knew to much personal information without me revealing anything - so who knows! My DH doesn't believe in it, but knows that every once in a while, I want to see what they have to say.

Re: John Edwards...

Hi there...I went in May to see him at Westbury Music Fare and he read my aunt about 10 minutes into the whole thing! He spent almost a half an hour on her and trust me it was all on the money! I have hear rumors how they bug the audience with mics where they tape his shows but now I know that can't be possible! Everything he said to my aunt was not mentioned at all in the place!
Everybody is entitled to their own opinions...I believe in him totally!!!

Kimmie,
Give it a shot, it can't hurt.
I hope you connect with your daddy, even though he is with you, you just don't see him.

Re: John Edwards...

He is my neighbor's nephew. I totally believe in him. His family is so sweet and they come from a higher middle class income.

Everyone has that 'sixth sense' it is whether you develop it or not is up to you.

Re: John Edwards...

I believe that he has a gift. I believe that Sylvia Brown has a gift. I also believe that for every one person that has such a gift there are about a thousand phonies! But I think it is fun anyway. I went to that woman who reads palms in Port Jeff twice several years ago. A friend and I went on a lark and then a year later decided to see what she would say if we went in again. It was totally different the second time! But then another friend threw a party and there was a woman there reading our cards, not tarot cards, regular playing cards. I thought it was total BS, but the woman freaked me out. As soon as she started flipping cards she started to tell me about personal family issues, well one in particular, that no one at that party knew about and made a few predictions that came true. Not generic, but very specific things that I had no control over.

Re: John Edwards...

I actually sort of believed in Slyvia Brown until I read her book! That woman is a wack-a-do.
