John Harvards for a Bridal Shower

My mom and I have been brainstorming about places to have my bridal shower. I am looking for a place that is very laid back and relaxed. Someone suggested John Harvards in Lake Grove. I have only been there for drinks a few times and love the atmosphere.

How is the food there though? Has anyone went to an event there?

I have never been to an event there, but have been there numerous times for dinner, the food is pretty good but pub like...it is quite dark in there, even during the day....however, I think they have a room in the back with more windows...
