wow - you are almost there!!! Good for you. I am having the cocktail hour downstairs and the reception upstairs. We are also having the reception there as well. I am just praying for nice weather. We spoke with Patty she was really nice. I hear wonderful things about it, especially from people in the wedding industry. It makes me feel comfortable when I hear their oohs and aahs. Good luck and please keep me posted

John Anthony`s on the Water .. Me Too!!

Our wedding is coming up soon too, and we are also having the cocktail hour downstairs in the small room, then moving upstairs for the reception. We were also glad to hear all the oos and aahs from people, especially those in the industry, when we said John Anthony`s was our place. My big dilemma now is trying to figure out what to offer for dinner. I love the Tri-plate idea, but don`t know if too many people are going to be upset that they didn`t have a say in what they get to have for dinner. We need to speak more to JAs about exactly what kind of substitutions people can make. But one of the pluses to having the Tri-plate was it adds about 20 more minutes to dance and fun since the staff doesn`t have to take everyone`s order! Terri, what menu have you chosen?? Good Luck in your final planning! HeatherandNick, have you thought of anything specific you were leaning toward regarding the menu options?? Good Luck with everything!

I am getting married at JA'S too! Next August. We are having the reception in the upstairs room and the cocktail hour in the other ballroom downstairs. I love it there and hear nothing but good things about it! Are you using any of their recommended vendors?

John Anthony`s on the Water .. Me Too!!

We were pretty much discussing the tri-plate idea. I agree with it being better having more time dancing rather than ordering. I know they can order an additional chicken or filet mignon instead of the shrimp. I do not want people to fell upset that they didn't have a say either. It's a tough choice. When is your date? What other ideas, such as flowers, colors, add-ons, etc, were you going to use Kel?

I went to Wedding World for my invitations, flowers, limos, potography, and videography. We are using JAs recommended dj, Entertainment Tonite. Have you spoken with any vendors yet?

We are going with the combination filet and one of the chicken dishes because i didn't want people to get angry with not having a choice! We are using Flower michelle for our florist and they are just unbelieveable! If you haven't picked your florist yet go there and talk to john! and we are using DeJa Vu Studios for our pics & video! They are the only recommended vendors that we are using. OUr DJ is Invitation to Dance. my girlfriend used them for her wedding and they did a phenominal job so there was no thought to that choice. In fact, i went straight to them and rick wouldn't take money from us until we looked at others! That impressed me even more! I can't wait! It's so close and i'm getting more nervous evry day!

? for all...

Does anyone know of the type of cake they provide? I know you have your choice of flavors but I am wondering about the styles and decorations they offer. I never asked! (Terri-I am using DeJa Vu too!)

? for all...

they basically outright said it's just a 4 tier cake...i'm having flowers put on mine and i told them that before we got to that part of the final details so i'm not sure if they didn't ask me because you don't really go all out with cake decorating when you have the flowers decorating it or if they just don't give you the choice!

JohnAnthony`s on the Water

Hey Ladies, 9/2/02 is the date and John Anthony''s is the place. So far, I have booked Candlelite Video for my videographer (not because they were on JA''s recommended list but just because their video is absolutely phenomenal), Tommy Tunes for my dj (really nice people but a bit expensive), and a florist in Lindenhurst (can''t think of the exact name of the place at this time). But I having a hard time finding a photographer. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch! Congratulations everyone!
