joint accounts

joint accounts

I feel like someone might have posted something similar awhile ago but i dont remember for sure.

Who is setting up, or has set up, a joint checking account with FH for wedding stuff? I'm thinking about it..

we did like right after we got engaged. we both have part of our paychecks go right into the wedding acct and any money we have gotten for engagement gifts, etc goes right in the account. Nothing comes out of the account accept deposits for vendors!

we have an account setup for the wedding, its not a joint account, but we both put money into it and only use it for wedding items

I haven't yet, but I plan to. My mother just gave me a few savings bonds that were opened for me when I was born. She's had them in her safe deposit box at the bank all this time. So I'm going to use those to open the account and then put any money we get from the engagement party or anything else into it.

I gotta do that too with savings bonds. Some of them are actually still making 4.0 interest rate so i'm going to leave those and cash some of the others out.

We shall see.

yes, we have a savings account through ING... it is linked to our checking accounts so we can transfer money back and forth into there.

Just recently we combined all our money in one account, then we have one account where all the bills come out of, savings and savings for wedding.

We got a joint credit card but not bank account. I'm thinking we should though just for wedding stuff.

Right now we have a savings account for the wedding...and seperate checking accounts.

We have one for wedding stuff, gym membership, and weight watchers. We keep seperates for other stuff until we get married then we will be putting most of the rest in the same account

right before we got engaged we opened up an account for the wedding to start saving.
we also opened up a CD with the money we got from our e-party to get some interest

we each have our own checking/savings accounts and what not as well. we havent combined those yet
