Do u plan on having a joint bank account once you get married....
My FH is a REAL Stickler for money and I believe we would be divorced faster then a speeding bullet if he tries to control my funds...
I asked another married lady and she said she has her own, and she also has a joint one for the house and future ventures that they are saving for... I think that is what we will do...

We have a joint bank account. But for the most part he brings in the money and I take care of the bills. I always also have a little of my own money socked away.

we already have one that we opened as a way to manage the money for the wedding- all checks come from that account, etc.
I think it is good to have a joint- but also keep ones for yourself too.

We have had one since just before we bought the house together -- had to to make life easier. Also, once engaged people start to give wedding gifts and it is just way easier having a joint one.

us too...we got one when we first moved in together, but since we have gotten engaged we have changed over all of our accounts to joint accounts.

We have a joint and then we each have our own, but we are bad and haven't been putting much into the joint one at all. I don't even know why we bother having seperate ones...I don't have any money anyway lol

we opened a joint account a few weeks ago. its much easier to deposit checks we get as presents and write checks for vendors on that account.
once we're married most of our paychecks will go into the joint account which is where we'll pay bills from. but a small portion will still be put into our seperate accounts.
i like having my own money. FH makes a lot more then i do and i'd feel like i was always using his money. plus how do i dip into a joint account to get him a birthday gift? it would feel weird which is why we're also keeping the seperate ones.

I guess it's easier for you guys because you don't have kids from previous relationships.. Totally understandable... THe money you guys have is for you & him.. Which is a beautiful thing..

We setup a joint account as soon as we moved in together - which was a few months before getting engaged. It made paying rent, bills, going out to eat, etc. much easier. I still also have my own account for my own personal spending.

Right now, we have a joint savings account for our wedding savings and then we also both have our own joint checking and savings accounts. We'll probably combine everything once we're married.

We opened one when we got engaged... we both put $ in there from each paycheck... but we both still have our own accounts.

I'm the stickler when it comes to $$$, so having a joint bank account was a real issue for me. But we decided to have a joint checking/savings but then to also have our own savings accounts to use on things that we don't want the other to harass us about (for me, expensive handbags ).
