JT Oak Room Brides Past,Present or Future

I need help ladies. I have guest count that I think is going to go up and The Oak Room at JT is only 146 at its maximum. FMIL and my Parents may exceed it. I need to know from you ladies that had your wedding at JT Oak Room how many guests you had and how did it go? Did you feel cramped?? Was it comfortable? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Different brides will tell you different things but from what FH and I have seen with the spacing in that room its gonna get tight. If you put 12 tables just know that the two tables closest to you will be sitting so close to your dais. They'll also have to put a table on the other side of the doors where you enter. I was there to see it set up like that recently and it didn't look good at all. I personally dont feel like that room is meant to be overcrowded. FH and I dont want more than 120 ppl in there for it to be comfortable, we are guessing we will have somewhere between that and 132. If you do the long tables that seat 12 then they come out pretty far and I feel the dance floor is already narrow as is. Sure its your wedding and you could def make it work but we dont want to be packed in there. You should prob figure it out asap. We had to limit my father to how many guest he could have. Its a small room, we are having a small wedding. For any parent to think they can have 2 tables in a room that shouldn't have more than 132 ppl in it is just not right, IMO. PS. He's still not very happy about that but you cat please everyone all the time. Maybe try managing the parents expectations now and you wont have to worry! Hope this helps.
