Re: Jultz33.....

I think you made the right decision. I think it's admirable that you care about your co-workers, but as everyone else is saying - you need to worry about you first and what is the best decision for you. Unfortunately, there isn't much loyalty in the workplace anymore and I know many people, including myself who have gotten royally screwed at work.
Your president was so out of line - total harassment.
And if a company could fold, based on 1 person, it's obviously not that stable and not a good place to be.
Best of luck.

WOW - That was really rough. Like everyone wrote above, though it may be REALLY tough, you have to take care of yourself first. Good Luck!

Re: Jultz33.....

That was VERY unprofessional of your boss, as the others said. Yes, you feel bad for your friends but you took the initiative to find a better situation for yourself. You have to think about yourself but also your husband now too!

Your boss won't have anyone left working for him at this rate!

I am dreading going to work tomorrow

I am so sorry you have to go thru this, sweetie

Everyone gave you great advice, but yet I know what's it like to feel torn because of your loyalty to your friends at the company you are leaving. Trust in the fact that if they are your friends, they will understand the reasons behind your decision--and the fact that making this decision was so very difficult for you!

Be strong and remember, in the end you did what was better for you and your husband .. it it truly admirable that you care so much for everyone, but in these difficult times where we are all struggling to get by in life, sometimes you need to put your best interests first!

Re: Jultz33.....

Congrats and good luck.
It's their own fault that they are stuck in this position. You should never have only ONE person knowing how to do a job. That's just poor managing.
