July 2004 brides

Hi all! I am just wondering what everyone has done so far, and how everything was going. I hope everyone is doing well, and everything is going good with the planning. Good luck.

Re: July 2004 brides

Hi! We have our Hall (Chateau La Mer), church and florist (Burtons). Working on Photographer, Videographer and girls dresses. Met with VIP studios and we really liked his work. On Monday meeting with Patken. Wed meeting with Candle lite video and then I want to make an appt with Wild rose video. For the girls dresses I know I want periwinkle (more like a blue). My sister and I are going Sunday to start looking. I also have a lot of other little things done. How is everyone else doing? Good Luck to all!! The fun is now beginning!!

The only thing I have done right now is the hall. My FI's brother has a video company, so we also 'booked' our video.

I have the church reception location and photographer booked. I am looking at caterers now. Everytime I go somewhere people make me feel like I have plenty of time, but I feel like Why wait until I have to fight for days, why not get it done now and then enjoy being engaged. Just had to vent. Sorry.

Re: July 2004 brides

That is a good start you have by booking the church. If I were you I would get moving on the reception place because you are getting married on a saturday night. I am only speaking from my experience, but from what I hear from a lot of caterers and other brides for next summer, that people who had gotten engaged over the holiday are looking to book next summer. My reception hall is already booked for all the saturdays of July 2004. I booked mine (July 17th 2004) last July 4th, and there were already people booking for that month. If you want to get a place that you are happy with, I would really start thinking about booking soon. I had 2 vendors that I wanted already booked. I dont want anyone else to go through the heartbreak of not getting the vendors you want. Not that its the worst thing in the world, but since you already booked the church and the photographer, you dont want to be changing dates around to accomadate everything. Good luck, and keep us updated on how things are going. I would be happy to help in any way.

Re: July 2004 brides

Just curious, when did everyone book thier vendors, and where are they having thier wedding?
I booked my hall (The Riviera) on July 4, 2002 for July 17, 2004.

Church: 9/02
Video:1/03
Photographer: 2/03
Band: 3/03
Dress: 1/03 (that was too early)
Limo: not yet
Flowers: not yet
BM dresses/Tuxes: not yet
Invitations: not yet

Am I missing anything??

Oh I see! Sorry about that. I just know how it feels to have vendors booked, and it is heartbreaking! I feel like even though its so far away, I am forced to book most of my stuff now. Wow, that vineyard is going to be beautiful!!! Good luck to you!
