July 2011 Brides!

I was wondering who else is getting married in July 2011. How much have you planned so far? Do you have any idea what your wedding colors will be and possibly what flowers you'll be using?

My FH and I got engaged this past Oct. I've booked the venue, know which band I plan to book, and am currently meeting with photographers and videographers. I will likely use fuschia or a similar shade as my main color. I love peonies, and hope they're in season in July, and will probably incorporate orchids and curly willow branches or a similar looking plant to mimic cherry blossoms, since I know they're not in season then.

July 2011 bride here!

So far, I booked the RH and the band. I am exploring photo and video now. Then, I plan on looking into the florist. I'm hoping to have the big vendors booked by March (at the very latest).

I'm going with a vintage theme for my wedding. I'm thinking about shades of purple and lilac for my colors.

monamiestephanie --- I love Fuscia for a summer wedding. So bright and refreshing. Oh and I love peonies too!

As of right now all I have booked is the RH. I have appts with photog/video this week as well as florist. I feel so behind but I have a lot of ideas as to which vendors i would like to book.
We have veryyy similar taste! I also want to use fuschia or a purple tone and will most likely use orchids, cherry blossoms or calla lilies-I had no idea cherry blossoms werent in season then I also want to incorprorate a green tone as well...

I'm getting married in July 2011 also. I only have the church and the venue. I'm kinda slow with the rest because I don't live in LI anymore. :(

Next steps: DJ, Photo/Video, Flowers ... not in that order

ive been battling with color choices cause my room has a lot of gold and red tones and i wanted it to be elegant.... the centerpieces i want are mostly white with crystals and candles....

but i wanted to have different shades of pinks in my bouquet mostly a hot pink or fushia... idk wat color bridesmaids dresses im gonna have...i thought of:


* hot pink dresses and they would have would white flowers and i would have the pink flowers

* a dress in the purple family to go with pink flowers

*a black dress to make the bright pink flowers pop! I just wasnt sure if it would look summery if i used black

any opinions would be helpfull :)

I think any of your dress color options sound great! I think black dresses would work best for a very formal or even black-tie wedding in the summer.

July bride here....

I am way behind everyone else. All I have is my RH..i have met with a florist and a photographer , and a DJ but I dont really have time to do anything else. I will probably go with the one I have met....

i have done
Church, RH, Photo/Video, DOC, DJ

plan on doing my dress in the beginning of the summer (june prob) then flowers, then bridesmaids dress and the rest....

I am getting married July 2011 and so far I have RH, Church and Photo/Video.

Next we want to do dj/band (still unsure of which we are going with!) and the cocktail music (we want a steel drum band)

I have a few ideas for color but I am thinking yellow, purples and white with maybe some green mixed in.

All I have is RH.....i don't feel behind though. I'll get to it when I get to it.

All I did was book the RH as well. I feel the same way... I will get to it whenever, I want to enjoy the whole wedding planning thing without stressing out...

I am a July bride too!!

We have our RH, Photographer/videographer, and officiant. Currently trying to book a DJ. I have no idea what color yet. As far as centerpieces I wanted cherry blossoms too . Very sad when i found out they are the only flower not in season for July. Oh well at least we have lots of time.
