My FH and I have looked at a LOT of places and some of them are kind of pricey. We had thought of maybe doing July 3rd 2007 which is a Tuesday because the price drops so much. The only prob. is it is a Tuesday. Would you have your wedding on a Tuesday or is that weird and difficult for people to make?
if 4th of July were on a Tuesday I would consider it. But not the day before. I don't think anyone gets that day off from work

Why don't you have it ON the fourth of July? You know everyone will be off. We hd ours July 3 of this year, so it was a Sunday night, but the next day, everyone had off. It felt like a Saturday night.
I wouldn't have it on a Tuesday. It could be hard for people to get off. For example, a company I worked for pays you for national holidays. BUT, if you took the day before or the day after that holiday off, they wouldn't pay you for it. It could create a problem. Your wedding happens only once, have it on the weekend so you can just relax and enjoy.
I agree it would be very difficult for some people to get off the day before a holiday to make it to a wedding. I guess there are some whose companies are fine with them taking it easy in the summer and around holidays, but other people who would have to work more to make up for the day off. It's a tricky situation. Someone suggested having it on July4, and that could work...

I know someone that is getting married at JT monday 7/3/06. They're getting it for 67pp. If you can get the date, it's worth it. I would do it but FH wanted only Sat night. I don't think it matters since most people are off the next day anyway.
