JULY BRIDES!

Where the heck are all the other July brides? I'm getting married in 37 days and have no clue where the hell I'm supposed to be with all of this!

Anyone else? I'm a former October bride who was ill-prepared for that date. I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna get married in just over a month!

Hey ladies! I am freaking out! I haven't even sent my invitations out yet. We don't have our wedding rings. We don't have gifts for our parents. I don't have anyone to do my hair and makeup!!!

I'm here, 46 days and counting down! July 25 bride !!

And I'm one of those who is on here ALL the time practically (when I should be working).. though I always forget to check in on the '04 board

What can I help with ?? What is still left to do on your list?

I feel like I'm not ready either, trust me!!

I'm still here..I just don't post as much...I'm just a peeper

I still have to get someone to do my hair, my wedding party gifts, limos and flowers (long story)

I just have such a hard time with limos. I only need a drop off or at most an hour and no limo company will accommadate me or they charge a ridiculous price. My moh is pratically screaming at me everyday to get it done.

Get busy...what is the hold up for the invitations? I am still sending some as well.

Also, I don't have a hair and makeup person as of yet. I know we are in trouble.....

I'd say the first thing to tackle are the invites.. we sent ours out a few weeks ago and responses started fast, now have trickled off!! People are soo sloooow with that stuff (and we're having a pretty small wedding!) We still actually have 10 invitations to send out, but the families have been laazy in giving me their addresses!!

As for hair/makeup start calling and or emailing people for their availability SOON ..

I had a really short engagement (7 months) and never thought I'd get as much done as I did, but surprisingly enough I did OK .. it just took me working on this ALL THE TIME

We moved our wedding up unexpectedly at the end of May, so I've been making my invites. They're going to the post office today!

Hair and makeup - I had someone for my original date and she's not available for my new date. I emailed her assistant and was waiting for a response from her, but so far, nothing. I've been making calls, but people have been a little lax about calling me back. I would ideally like to find one person to do both, and I don't want to spend $300 on hair and makeup. There aren't too many people around, and I hate bugging those that are...I feel like the more times I call, the less likely they are to want to deal with me.

All the questions that I would have a long time to ask the caterer are popping up within days of each other and my mother is bugging me to make calls to find out answers to questions, but again, I feel like a pain in the rear with questions every friggen day. I have too much to do and not enough time.

So glad to see that there are other July brides though. I never wanted to get married in July, but it's a good time for us. I just hope it's nowhere near as hot on our wedding day as it is today!

My invites went out on Wednesday and some people received them yesterday! Of course, even though I had them hand-cancelled, the post office still managed to practically destroy 2 of them! What idiot folds an invitation to put it in the mailbox? And why did I have them hand-cancelled if they were just going to put them through the bar code machine anyway? Morons!

I finally got in touch with Elena for a hair and makeup trial on Thursday. I'm getting my shoes dyed this weekend. I have to make the scrolls for our donation favors. I have to get place cards and see if my mother will do the calligraphy on them or if she wants me to print them myself. She's doing our flowers for us, so I don't know if she's going to have any desire to do those, too.

We still need to get wedding rings, but I'm going next weekend for that and FH will have to go with me some other time. We still need a ketubah.

Other than that...what the hell else am I missing? I can't even think straight anymore!

Wow , you are doing great!!! You've gotten a lot done since you first posted, you should be proud of yourself!!

The rings were the easiest things for us .. we got those months ago, well before we needed to. I luckily found one that matched my e-ring perfectly, and FH found his white gold band in less than 10 mins !!

I had the same problem with my invites, a lot of people got theirs all messed up ... now I'm glad I cut my costs on those and I didnt spend 1,000 dollars on them!! Now the fun begins, waiting for the responses! Our replys started off fast at first, now have trickled down .. just SEND THEM BACK, PEOPLE!

Thanks. When you have a month and a half to plan a wedding, you have to get a lot done quickly! It's much easier for a small wedding, so I can only imagine how people plan big weddings in 6 months or less!
