Re: JULY BRIDES
I did everything quickly because I used to be in the business. I was a bridal attendant and part of my responsibility was to work with the brides vendors. I have known for many years who I wanted to use. I also wanted to do everything quickly because I am a teacher and I wanted as much done before school started.
If I can be of any help FM me

Re: JULY BRIDES
Thats what someone had told me. We should start to look after the new year. I was also told that we should send them out about 8 weeks instead of the usual 6 weeks.

Re: JULY BRIDES
Because it is the summer when most people go away on vacation. The reasoning is to get them out before people make thier vacation plans.

Re: JULY BRIDES
Ok ....so I just read the posts about sending out the invites and wanted to THANK YOU! I never would have thought to send them out 8 weeks before instead of 6 weeks. It makes sense....and even more for me because of the holiday.
How far in advance do you have to order the invites? I was going to look in Jan too but when do we place an order?

Re: JULY BRIDES
I would say that as long as we order the invites by February , we should be okay. Also if you are going to have calligraphy that may take some extra time too. I am not sure how long that takes.

We were nervous about going for the flowers too because we didn't know what kind of prices to expect but we were surprised. It wasn't as bad as we thought. WE originally bugeted 7,000 and we were way off base

Re: JULY BRIDES
i am spenidng 2000 there is no need for that much money in flowers. i have smaller bouqets for the bridesmaids that cut down price. see your options and start with a low price range like 3000 see what they can give you... they can work with you they want your money remember that have fun and good luck.

Re: JULY BRIDES
When looking for flowers, to keep the price down you can always ask what flowers are in season. They will be easier to get and cheaper for that reason and in July there are a ton of flowers available.
In general lower centerpieces are less expensive than high or tall ones.
I found that most florists are willing to work with you on the price so if you feel the quote is high ask what flowers you could substitute to bring the price down.
