Dont forget to put the appropriate amount on the RSVP envelope. Not everyone will mail it back by 5/12

mail them 1st week in april, and rsvp by may 15th. we figured we should do everything early due to the holiday weekend.

I'd say mail them early May.. Consensus seems to be RSVP date about 1 month before wedding date and at the very least 1 month for guests to reply.. and since we're all getting married in July which is a busy summer month, you'll want to give everyone a little extra time to plan their other trips accordingly (whether they're traveling to you, or to make sure there other vacations don't conflict with your wedding)
