July Wedding Colors

Im getting married on july 17, 2009 and since its the summer I really want to have yellow(canary) as my color for BM dresses..... does this work?

What color flowers would go best with yellow?

I'm open to any suggestions

Yellow is pretty. Take into consideration your BM's skin tone. Yellow may wash some people out.
I went with Celedon. Originally I wanted yellow but I have very fair girls and we went with a different color. I would suggest trying the colors on...even if its not in that style dress

Yellow is my favorite color! But to be completely honest I didn't use yellow for my BM b/c I don't like how it will look in pics next to black tuxedos. It reminds me of a bumble bee. But I am crazy!!! If you do decide to do yellow, I think yellow and a coral color would be BEAUTIFUl!!! I would do coral flowers with some greenery!!

I would go with pastels...think light green hydrangea's or pastel purples and pinks (roses?). Those would look very nice w/ the yellow and pop nicely in pics. Just don't do a bright bright yellow or your girls will look washed out and weird in pics.

I like bright oranges and pinks...if I was getting married in the summer i would definalty use these colors!

My sister wanted me to go with yellow, but it was a hard color to find! Not to mention, a lot of people said that the color tends to wash people out. But, I would go and try it on! I think pinks would go nice, or green.....

I'm using Watermelon and Canary...they look great together. Some of my BM's will have the canary dress with the watermelon sash and peekabo skirt, and some will have the watermelon dress with the canary skirt and sash, depending on their skin tone and what looks best on them.

I want to use bright colors (turquoise, yellow, pink) and have sunflowers or other bright colored flowers. I think gerbera daisies in bright colors are great bright summery flowers.

yellow would be nice with pink flowers...or as an accent. even teal/aquas. you can do a lot in the summer, everyone is tan so those colors will compliment everyone. our colors were pink for our 7/21 wedding.

I also say go with the really bright, fun colors that will POP with the yellow!!! Hot pinks and greens...really bright oranges!! That would DEF look awesome!!

Yellows and purples are sooooo complimentary to each other. That is what I would do. Yellow is my favorite color but sadly it looked terrible on my BMs

I am gettin married in July too. The girls dresses are light green. When we were trying dresses on one of them tried on a yellow but i mean yellow very bright. I loved it and actually almost wanted to change but two girls are very light. Almost pasty. I know they wouldnt look good in it. You have to make the girls try it on to see how it looks on their skin. As for flowers I like yellow and purple together but thats just me.

Hi,
I'm getting married in July and plan on having canary (yellow) too. In addition, my MOH will be in Azalea. Both colors work great together. There are tons of flowers that go with both dresses, especially stargazer lillies. Best of luck.

P.S. Wild Orchid looks good with yellow too.

BYW: We are using sheer for all dresses...it tones it down a bit.
