June 05' Brides...

james'pokey, yes, we are twins! How fun. I have a good feeling about the 11th. Thanks for not being worried about the traffic. If i hear one more relative say 'ooooh! The LIE in the summer is a mess...are we gonna have to drive through that?' I am going to scream!

Hi Kathy! aka:James'pokey (BTW, I love the name!) You did speak of her in the past tense, so I am assuming she has passed away...please correct me if I am wrong.

To honor her:

I would put her name in the program (if you have one ) 'In loving memory of...' kind of thing, with the neat info about the 11th as her birthday, or a fun fact about her.

Then, from there, did she have a favorite song you could play?

Could you put a few candles in or around the grooms cake? You don't even have to tell anyone who or what they are for, but your FI would know they were for her.

or maybe, a pic of her on one of the tables with a funny or poignant quote of something she may have said to you two on this day. I don't think honoring the deceased has to be really sad, it can be uplifting!

I plan on honoring our grandparents with a family tree of black and white pictures showing all of their smiling faces, passed down to our parents (have their totally 50's and 60's style wedding pictures) and then a pic of me and FI underneath it all. Hey, if they didn't exist, we wouldn't!! I love the idea of honoring them!
