I am supposed to be headed to Riviera Maya on June 29th. Should I still plan on going or is this swine thing going to be ok by then? Anyone else in this position??? Don't know if I should start looking into something else or just wait it out a little.

I would wait it out. It might be fine by the end of June. You still have some time. Im going to Mexico for my HM at the end of July and Im going to wait before I make a desicion.

We had our honeymoon booked for June 2 to the 12, and had to call and cancel (hopefully we're waiting for the travel agents call now). We just didn't want to worry, but since you're at the end of june, i'd wait a little while

im still going. Im not wasting all the money i paid, the swine flu is in queens too but im not packing up my house and moving. lol

We are booked to go to Excellence Playa Mujeres June 11th-18th from Orlando, where we'll be spending 4 nights in Disney to kick off our honeymoon. Right now we're going to wait a couple of weeks and see how things pan out. We've already looked at other options in Costa Rica and Dominican Republic. We can cancel Excellence at any time pretty much, and get airline credit as well, so we've decided to wait it out a little. HTH!

Haha! Good point!!
So so true, I would recommend trying to get as much prevention information from your doctor as possible. Also I doubt this swine flu is effecting resorts as much as it is the more rural areas.

i am leaving to playa mujeres the same day... i think we may cancel... the airlines are cancelling flights for a while and who know if they may extend by then theres no way of knowing..... i am a traveler ive been alll over mexico so i was gonna go ... now even i need to take a step back and say i cant prevent a virus... god forbid its where i am by then u never kno w employees at a resort etc..... i dunno im gonna go to turks and caicos.....

We had Excellence Playa Mujeres booked from June 11th-18th and we just switched to Paradisus Costa Rica. It was the best choice for us.

GRob!! We are also leaving June 29th!! We are still planning on going to our HM!! Our HM is 8Days 7nights!! We are not leaving that behind for anyone!! Let alone the SWINE FLU!! We just got back from NY this week and I came back with a cold!! Its more dangerous in the States than in MX right now...

I think there is nothing to be afraid of!! People are making a big deal out of the H1N1 flu... Just enjoy ur HM!! Forget about the world!! You are suppose to spend time with your DH anyways!! Right!!??
