Hi all! I am having a slight problem. My BM's will be wearing a two piece Bill Levkoff gown. My Jr. BM is 10, HOWEVER, just as big as some of my bridesmaids. She is a very mature 10 year old. The dress for my bridesmaids is below. Do you think I can get away with having her purchase this one and I add extra material for cap sleeves and maybe even some flowers to match my FGs (they will be in a totally different dress)? OR should I look somewhere else? My BMs will be in European Wine, my MOH and FG's will be in Champagne. I kind of wanted her colors to be opposite the FGs. I don't want her to look too grown up, she is only 10, ya know? Anyone have ANY idea where I can look for a Jr. Bridesmaid gown that will match this one? I'm concerned about color. I do not want 10000 shades of wine. Thanks. I know I'm being picky.
Why don't you put FULL sleeves on the whole dress....
I think that would be fine!!

Re: Junior Bridesmaids Dresses (a little LONG)
Has she tried it on yet? When I look my jr bridesmaid, I thought my bm dress would be too mature for her, but when she put it on it was just fine! My girls are wearing a halter dress with a v-neck.
The seamstress may also be able to add a simple spaghetti strap for her, you'd be surprised how much that little string makes it look like a 'younger' dress!

I think it would be fine - Just give her short maybe elbow sleeves or possibly wide shoulder straps - you want her to look young but if you give her full sleeves she might be warm if she wants to dance? JMO. I think that is a beautiful dress it was one of the like 20 dresses my girls are looking at.

Lauren..
Don't let a 10yr old girl wear strapless.... U know.. Have something but not strapless!!!
Let us know what happens!!

My suggestion would be for either cap sleeves or elbow sleeves -- also let them put the neckline up higher for her so her young cleavage doesnt show.

Thanks! I definatly will have to add something! Her mother will think I'm nuts! LOL! I would never put a 10 year old in Strapless.

You could definitely put straps on it and make it a tank top or make it a halter for her. I think it would look cute.
i was contemplating a strapless dress for BMs...and I didn't think it would be appropriate for the jr BMs....but at the salon they suggested getting another dress...similar dress...from the same manufacturer...

Re: Junior Bridesmaids Dresses (a little LONG)
Thanks Yabbo, I'm considering that! Of course I CANNOT get into the Bill Levkoff website today! UGH! I want to make sure it's the same material too, so that the color is the same. I don't know why I am so anal on this color thing!
Thanks for all the input ladies!

Re: Junior Bridesmaids Dresses (a little LONG)
Hi ladies! Just thought I'd share the dress I found for my Jr. BM, of course we have to go see it in person, but thought I'd share with my wedding buddies first! The back ties up like a corset. I went with this one because my FGs dress ties up in front like a corset, I thought I could kind of 'blend' them together. Keep in mind that the color is wine, not this color. What do you guys think? A little much for a Jr.BM or is it good? ALSO, to make it easier on her mother, do you think it would be alright if I had her order her dress from a bridal salon closer to her, rather than where the rest of the BMs are ordering from??? Please let me know your thoughts! Thanks again!
Will your bridal salon give you a discount on the dress if you order if there? If not, then let her order it by her home. I have two jr bm and they are getting their dresses in FL.

I should really check that out. I just figured this was less stress, ya know? So far, the BMs are already getting a discount. They won't order the gowns until all deposits are in, I just figured if she didn't order it there, I can get the BMs gowns ordered! I guess it's no big deal if she goes elsewhere.
