I got a letter...it says that I'm not being called for jury duty. They just asked me for information, like am I a citizen, have I ever been convicted of a felony, etc.
Again, it says I'm not being called right now, but it's from the jury duty department.
I am freaking out now because I am finishing my thesis and classes in July...and I HAVE to finish them or else I won't graduate. What if I get called to go in July?
Or what if I get called to go right before the wedding? I have to be in CT for the wedding for three days before.
I am seriously flipping out and so anxious right now.

If you're in school you can just get a letter from the registrar saying so. Plus you get one time to post pone if they call you and it's during your wedding.

Clam down!! I throw away all of my jury duty notices!! They just send them regular mail so they don't know if you actually ever get it. Nothing to stress over trust me!

don't worry. They excuse you if you are in school. And can't you postpone until after the wedding?
WHen I had to go last january I told them I was in school and showed them my schedule, then I told them when I could do it.

I know im giong to jinx myself by saying this but I am 25 and have never been called. I got one of those forms like 2 years ago and filled it out and I still haven't been called. So no need to freak out yet

You can postpone jury duty a couple of times before you have to go.... I wouldn't worry about it... It will take them time to process your info and if you get called you explain and you will get called later on.

relax, by the time they enter your name into the system and update it with your 'criminal status' LOL it will take a while. Plus you can always postpone jury duty due to being out of State. Also, when they do call you, you will not get a letter saying come next week. It usually gives you enough time to work things out. Just take your time in filling out the info and returning it.

You can put Jury duty off. Even if you go the first day just tell them your in school and they'll let you out right away.

Re: jury duty---freaking out
you would not get called that soon, trust me. (re july)
regarding the wedding, you'd probably have to show up the first day, talk to someone, and they'd excuse you.
don't panic.

My friend's Dad puts 'RETURN TO SENDER' and mails them back!

Those are both valid reasons to be excused. You can request to postpone your jury duty twice I think. I had to do it once for a cruise.

You could throw it away, cuz its sent regular mail and they won't know....or you can postpone because you're a student.
