jury duty questions..

i had call in jury duty this week.. didn't get called yet adn the site says no jurors called fo tomorrow.. so here's my question... if i went and got called i'd get that slip that says iserved and dont' have to serve again for 7 yrs..

if i sat on call in but never got called.. am i excused for 7 yrs again? or can i wind up getting called again?

I believe that as long as the lawyers interview you, even if you dont get picked for a jury, that is your time served.

if you never get called into the interview process you can still be called.
if you were interviewed, you're set for 7 years.

I;m not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure that if you don't even get called in that you won't get summoned for the next 4 years.

I thought it was 6 years?

But I guess we're splitting hairs now :)

I had jury duty the other week, and they stressed that we can still be called unless we hold on tight to the letter they gave us. So presumbly, if you don't get a letter, they can still call you.

Sorry!

My understanding is that if you were on call on duty and didn't get called, you are still entitled to get the slip that keep says you have served jury duty. You do not have to be questioned by an attorney for jury duty to count. Nevertheless, you should call the commissioner of jurors and they should be able to answer your questions -- and get you your paperwork. if you are indeed entitled to it. HTH

Yeah, I think as long as you have that piece of paper you're golden!
