just a question

do you think its wrong of me to be upset knowing that my future sister in law is going to be in the same place at the same time as me and my hubby to be when we go on our honeymoon? (which is disney world) dont get me wrong i love her to death, but you know...its my honeymoon...and shes going to be there too now. i thought we were going to be in a different state from everyone else, and now we're not so i'm upset, and my fiance is mad at me cuz im upset...my parents arent even going to be in the same state and they live in Florida!
just wanted to know if you think i'm being stupid, thanks..

it depends on when they decided they were going to go to disney world...did they know u were gonna go and then booked their trip there?

Re: just a question

oh then thats a little messed up..can u talk to them and ask them if they can keep it the week before bc u really want to be away from everyone so its just the 2 of u for ur honeymoon?

Re: just a question

they'll make an excuse...and of course my fiance is all like we can see them just one day...and i'm like no its our honeymoon not a family vacation. i just said to him last night that i couldnt wait for our honeymoon so we could be away from everyone. and now hes using the excuse 'i've never been to disney with my sister, you have' and that pissed me off more...i know i'm probably over reacting, but i'm sorry...i thought it was going to be 'our time'

Re: just a question

i COMPLETELY agree with u! it should def be a time for just the 2 of u!! maybe instead of talking to him more try to talk to other family members of his like his parents..and ask them if they think the honeymoon should be jsut the 2 of u or if they think its ok for u guys to hang out with family....bc most people agree that its just supposed to be the 2 of u..and maybe they can talk some sense into ur FH and FSIL

I agree you, the HM should be for the two of you only!! not even one day of seeing his sister in disney, he can see her when you guys get back ... maybe try talkin with your FSIL, maybe she doesn't realize that it really should be only the two of you, and she will see this and change back to the week before

i would be upset too. but why do you have to see them? tell them its your HM and you want alone time. i'm sure they'll understand...and if they dont thats too bad for them. how old is this sister that he WANTS to hang out with her in disney?

I Agree also ... i would defiantely be mad .... and I would not even want to meet up with them .. not one day not one dinner not at all ... this is your HM not a family vacation !!!

Re: just a question

honsetly i wouldn't stress about this...disney is pretty big and although you two may run into each other (and you may not) i would just make it clear that this is your time and you just want to spend it the two of you....if you have to say hi don't worry about that....just say hi and then go on your way

Disney World is huge, you'll most likely never see them. You're not staying in the same place, are you?

Oh, I didn't realize they planned to see you! Absolutely not. The whole point of a honeymoon is that the newly married couple spend time ALONE together. Not with family members. It's your time. Tell your FH that you can go to DisneyWorld some other tme with his sister, but this is not the time.

Re: just a question

Does he get to see his sister normally?

It would be different if you didn't get to see her.
