just a whole mess of stuff ...
I want to rip my hair out. Well, I had my graduation ceremony for my Master's last friday (yay!) but I'm technically not done yet, I need to compete my 'culminating project' this summer, and have yet to figure out what or where I'm doing it. And my summer session for this technically started today.
I am in the midst of searching for a full-time job, which is always fun. We have a home inspection scheduled for our possible future home tomorrow, and if all goes well we will be hopefully closing very soon. Then we get to completely gut it and do a ton of home improvement.
If working full-time (let's hope), putting in hours at an agency for my project, buying and flipping a home, and planning my wedding weren't enough, I either had a bout of food poisoning or a stomach bug since monday... I basically haven't gotten off the couch (that is, except to RUN to the bathroom every 5 minutes!) or eaten anything except dry toast and gatorade for 2 days- and there are things to be done!
Then today, FSIL tells me she doesn't have the $$ to order her BM dress until mid-June. I asked them to have them ordered by April 30th. Two FSILs have yet to order them. My other 3 girls have their orders in and they won't put in the order until they have them all so they are in the same dye lot. Ok, I understand money troubles, but this is why we picked them out in JANUARY and I gave you almost 5 months notice to come up with $100 for a deposit. Maybe if you didn't go out to the bars EVERY WEEKEND you would have a couple bucks to put down on the one thing I asked you do to to be in my wedding, order your dress and show up. I spent 2 hours on the phone calling 5 different shops, each time getting the price lower and lower, until I got the original price of $210 down to $155, which I think is pretty fair today for a dress.
By the time she actually orders it it will probably be more like 3 months until the wedding. Please tell me this is enough time. She is arguing with me that they only take 6 weeks to come in (like she would have any clue).
Alright, vent over.
On the bright side, I visited this GIANT Dollar Tree and found flip flops for my slipper basket, just when I was beginning to lose hope of finding something for $1 a pair... they are black and white designs and I must say very 'wedding-y'! Can't believe I found them at the dollar store- and I went in on a whim. The guy must have thought I was nuts bc I bought every pair they had- which was about 38 pairs, and conveniently in a nice array of sizes. I originally wanted about 50 since we are anticipating about 150 ppl but oh well, the gesture is there. I made up tags with a bunch of cute poems and the sizes and if I can pull myself away from my toast and gatorade I might get around to putting it together tonight :)
