and as of right now, we're DOUBLE what we have saved... and we're not done... still need like A LOT! I'm trying so hard not to cry, but I know the second I get in my truck I'm going to loose it! I feel so bad for FH, because he's footing most of the bill.. my father is giving us $XXX but thats paying for the hall, we're (well FH) is paying for EVERYTHING else, I help out when I can, but money is sooo tight, I don't make a lot, and I'm part time.
just yesterday I had $.45 in my account... I'm embarrassed, ashamed and depressed and could really just use a hug or two.
thanks ladies!

Re: just added up the vendor balances...
Most of us are going through the same thing so, you are not alone and we understand!!!! Borrowing shoes (FM me and let me know what size you are and what color shoe your looking for....might be able to help) and jewelry etc........I know I didn't plan as well as I should of and wasted a bit of money but, somehow it does work out.....for me I got caught up in the whole planning in a short amount of time and really should have slowed down and looked everything over .....make a list of all you have and what yo still need to see if there are things you can comprise on. :) it will be ok!!!
check out the american wedding online for invites. I did very well there and they have something for all tastes and style. This is are invite
Definetly take the advice of these ladies. I feel the same as you, that there are certain things that are not negotioable (good music, good food, good pictures) So, maybe you splurged a little on those things, but there are ways to compensate for that. I feel for you, because my FH is footing the bill for most of our wedding as well, and it's hard to feel like I'm not contributing as much. But I am trying to find ways to help keep costs down. I found invitations at AC MOORE on the clearance table for $14 a box (50 invites, reply cards and envelopes!) and I am doing ALOT of DIY projects for things that add up quickly if purchased. Also, like some of the other girls said, see if you can borrow shoes from someone (your somthing borrowed is covered!). Are you in contract for the VH with the DJ already? If not, ask a friend to set up their iPod and pick some awesome music to end the night with!
Most importantly, just remember that almost all brides feel the way you are at some point in the process....and remember that we are always here to give the best advice we can, or just let you vent!! It's easy to just say 'oh you will figure it out' but we all know the reality of that...just know that no matter how hard it gets...you have us, and in the end it's not about the shoes you wear or how fancy your invites turn out to be...it's about you and your future husband!

Re: just added up the vendor balances...
I feel your pain. See my money concerns post. We have enough for the major vendors saved, but we havent been able to save anything else at the moment (FH lost his job), and we still need rings, veil, tuxes, shoes, doj, favors, etc.
Can you make some cuts/downgrades?? Could you get a second job? I've been looking for waitressing jobs
