We just booked our HM for 12 nights, at the Sofitel Moorea in a lagoon bungalow (on the beach) and an overwater bungalow at the Intercontinental Le Moana. Free breakfast included at both!
Can't wait.

I communicated with a number of different travel agents, 2 were most knowledgable about the area, and one's price was about $850 better.
When we are going, the hotels we are staying have specials - i.e. stay 5 nights but only pay 3, and they also have free breakfast.

My FH keeps telling me that we can't start looking now but I think otherwise

Congrats!!! How exciting We are also planning on going to the French Polynesia for our HM. We planning to go to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. We been speaking to different travel agents to compare prices. We havent found anything as of yet.

I wish I could tell you...the HM is FH's present to me, so I have no idea what he has up his sleeve What i do know, is that we are chartering a sailboat for 8 days, then staying in an overwater bungalo in Bora Bora for 7....other than that, I have no clue...!

Definitely not too early. Book soon, before economy starts to get better! We only had to put 10% down. Travel Agent

I have heard. do you know if we can get wine in duty free? we don't really drink the hard stuff
