I recently booked my April 2007 date at the Woodbury Country Club.
I'm thrilled. The place was unbelievably beautiful, and the water fountains are gorgeous! I'll be having my ceremony at the Gazebo on the pond, and my cocktail/recep. is in the upstairs room.
Has anyone else booked them, or been to a wedding there? I've found almost no reviews on them. Thanks!

I got married there last December and I was in the upsatirs room.
They did an amazing job but there are a few things looking back on I would enforce and make sure it was in writing.
Dominick was the person that I booked with and when I was looking at the cocktail menu there were somethings that I loved and somethings I wanted to pass on. In the beginning he told me that I could mix and match selections to my specifications. Example Greek Olives and hummus instead of some of the Tripe and other Italian dishes. When we went to make our final selections he told me NO and I must keep things simple and I can not change things around. They also told me I had a choice of 7 entress in the beginning and then when we went to finalize everything they told me only 3. So I would suggest to make sure B]Everything is in writing with them.
Also when we went to make the final menu selections it was the playoffs and he rushed us completely. All he kept telling us was to keep the menu simple and offered us no advice. I left crying and without picking our wedding cake and some other things.
I also asked for the tables to be set up differently and gave them a floor plan that we agreed on and once we walked into the room the night of the wedding they did not follow the floor plan at all and my bridal party tables were seperated.
I would also make sure that you ask NOT to have the older MD. She was a nightmare. The room must have been 100 degrees and all we kept doing was trying to find her to turn the air on and it was Decemeber. She was only around part of the time and I felt she did not deserve a tip. I just wish I knew her name.
I know that there is some bad stuff here but overall they were amazing. My guest raved over everything from the cocktail hour to the desserts. You will have an amazing time but I just wish someone would have warned me to get everything is writing.
