OK so my mom and I went to Kleinfelds tonight and we agreed before going in that we were just 'looking' but we fell in love with a really beautiful Pnina Tornai. I have never even heard of this designer and it was really expensive but it was love at first sight!!! So she bought it for me :) It is so beautiful!!

Thanks guys! My mom bought it happily but I still feel a little guilty. I think your friend's dress is it but it is still hard to tell. Did it have lace overlay?
the bottom was def lace overlay and very fluffy. here's a shot of the back, maybe that can help a little more, lol.
I hear ya...eveb though FH doesn't have anything to do with it I don't want to tell him how much it is bc he will make me feel guilty and I doubt mom is telling Dad the exact amount

Well i dont know how your FH is but mine had nerve to get mad lol. That kid has 10x more clothes and stuff than I do and I saved and saved and saved during the whole planning and didnt spend any money, he on the other hand still splurged so I told him he can't talk lol.

yay, i'm glad i could get u some pics of the dress! hers was ivory too, just looks whiter in the pics. and she was in loove with her dress, i spoke to her the other day and she told me she has it hanging in her room still

Yeah he has some nerve saying anything! That is def not the dress. I think mine is more like Dny's friend. It is really lacy and elegant. I can't believe I have to wait so long to see it again and I can't believe we picked a dress at the first shop - so not like me!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!! I almost bought a Pnina gown! Her dresses are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a few pics of hers in my album. If you go onto the Kleinfeld website sometimes they have a pic of the dress.

Hey be glad, you saved yourself alot of trouble. I also went just to one store and bought my dress at kleinfelds at my first appt and was so happy i did lol bc i saved myself all the trouble

Thanks! The ball gown part is not as puffy an it has lace and beading all over the entire train. I looked on her website and didn't see...

keep in mind that the sample you tried on will most likely be alot less puffy than your actual dress. The samples are worn and they dont use most of the crinoline that your dress will have. My dress was seriously so different on the bottom than it was when it came in. Here are pics to see the HUGE difference. I had to even take out some crinoline bc of how it was.
Here are the sample pic and also the day my dress came in(theres fabric on the train so the embroidery doesnt get messed up)

yeah you can definitely say i was very surprised lol. But then they told me it was bc the samples dont have the same amount of crinoline the new dress will have, plus they are really worn. I had to take some of it out and still was big

Congrats. Her dresses are beautiful. And don't feel bad for spending $$$$ on you rdess as long as your happy and you can afford go for it. I'm with Espo, some people have had something to say about the cost of my dress but oh well I loved it and that was the dress I wanted. Once again congrats and I'm sure the dress is beautiful.

Girl! Wear it and feel beautiful, your Mom wouldn't have bought you something she felt she couldn't afford and that you didn't deserve. Congratulations.
Honestly, regarding FH and what others have to say about spending $$$ on your dress. They always think it's too much. You can spend 20 grand or like me- 2 grand, you can't win. I got the high end salon experience and am IN LOVE with my dress.....FH still thought it was crazy- 'it's one day' ect. ect.
He wanted me to go to David's and buy a nice dress for a few hundred. His Mom also wanted me to shop around. Since they didn't pay for it, they really have no say.
My advice is to keep the pricing between you and your Mom. The second people hear Klienfeld's they're going to start forming their opinions. Whateva! Congratulations!

Pnina does beautiful work! When your dress comes in be sure to ask for Josephine to be your fitter. She is a relative of my DIL's and does wonderful work.
