Just bought Bel Canto for my book club

I literally read the 1st page - is it any good?

I don't mind a book with a lot of detail, and I like a nice heavy read on occasion, but I'm a little bored with the 1st page - does it get better?

so how did it end up (bel canto) was it good?
i just read her other one - patron saint of liars and hated it
snooze! so i want to see if its worth it!
