'Just call me Atticus' Don't do this to your kids!

I just went on a baby name web-site to look up a meaning of a name and there was message board there. Of course I had to look.

this one woman is thinking how to name her child: here are her choices!

66 days until here comes mini-me! Girls Names: Bronwen Eliza, Iris Aviva or Sonnet 'Sunny' Alethea (we cant decide!!!) Boys Name: Atticus ??? or Silas Peregrine

I vote for Silas Peregrine or Sonnet Alethea!

Yabbobay - I wanted my brother to name his kid Lucas Walker after Luke Skywalker, he loves StarWars.

I think that is someone has the urge to call their child Silas Peregrine or Sonnet Alethea, they should just ask the social services to pick a name instead!

actually my great aunt (like grandmother) was Athala...which was a misspelling from the Bible's Alathea

we called her Ala...

Atticus is cool, I like different names! And my cousin's name is Eliza, so I like that one too. There's too many of the same name nowadays, it's refreshing to hear something new!

I knew an Alethea when I was younger....but everyone called her Lee.

Not too crazy on the other names though!

Maybe the names aren't so odd to her (or her family) b/c of her heritage/culture. Just a thought.

I wouldn't use any of those names-but you really don't know where this message came from.

Are they family names? They sound kind of Amish/Mennonite to me.

I'd like to name my children with unique names, but not that unique.
