Just cleaned off the baskets from Debi's Wedding......

that have been sitting in our LR, for a year, that's right, a year!!!!!!!!!!! Took off Debi's ribbons, and going to redecorate for Donna!!!!!! So, this also means I'll be wrapping the bubbles soon, and one basket is for Programs!!! I still have pew decorations to make, but I don't want the ribbons to get smushed, so I'll do those closer to the time. Anyone else DIYing these things, ie., baskets and pew decorations? Mary MOB

I am printing my own programs (well the creative director at my office is designing for me, she's awesome), I am putting ribbon on the bubbles, and purchased white pew bows from ACMoore. I figured for the baskets I'd put ribbon on the handles.

Hi, there, Jennifer!!!! I'm Mary!!!! So very nice to meet another DIY gal!!!!!!! I'm still rolling around in my mind how I want to decorate Donna's baskets. I know the ribbon/tulle colors, but I'm thinking how I'm going to incorporate her calla lilies/roses/stephanotis. Mary MOB

Very nice to meet you too Mary. I'm new to the site officially posting but have visited often. For the pew's, what if you made mini bouquets, tied them with ribbon and hung them upside down?

Thank you for that idea!! I love mini bouquets, and love making them. Might you have a pic of that upside down look. I'd really like to see it!! Right now I'm thinking of doing greens and a single stem ivory calla, but I might also add wine colored roses/ivory roses. Originally, Donna wanted stargazer lilies, two callas, and grass, but the 'looks like real stargazers', were over $11 a stem, and we need 11 stems, which would put me in the poorhouse, so I decided on the alternative. Donna's BM are also carrying a single calla with greens, so I thought I'd keep it simple too. Mary MOB

Hmmmm, very interesting!!!!! Pretty too!!!!! Thanks!!!!! Now, I'm wondering, Donna is having candlabra on each pew. I told her to please ask how the flowers have to be attached, because it will make a difference in how I prepare them. Some Churches have policies on attaching pew decorations. Do you know anything about how I would do the upside down bouquets, in addition to the candlabra? Mary MOB

I've never seen a candelabra on a pew. Is it going to look something like this? (have to love google!)

Oh, wow, that is so ironic you posted this!!!!! I just saved the same pic to my favorites!!!!! I've been searching through pew flowers and candalabra flowers!!! If I put the flowers on the pews, I could possibly use the ribbon loops, but I think I need to have them higher as in the pic you just posted!!!!!!! Mary MOB
