JUST CURIOUS

I KNOW ITS NONE OF MY BUSINESS, BUT I WAS WONDERING HOW EVERYONE WAS PAYING FOR THERE WEDDINGS.

ARE YOUR PARENTS HELPING OUT?

SAVING YOURSELF?

TAKING A LOAN?

I WAS JUST CURIOUS HOW EVERYONE ELSE WAS DOING, BC ITS HARD!!!

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE HELP.....YOU ARE VERY LUCKY!!!!!! USE THAT MONEY WISELY!!!!

My parents are helping with the reception (paying for my family, their friends and FHs family) FH and I are responsible for everyone and everything else. I have a feeling my parents will wind up paying for more...my mom has been buying alot of the stuff to help make my invites. She wants to order the STDs. FHs family can't pay for anything...not even the rehearsal dinner...and FH himself isn't gonna be much help either. He works 2 jobs and still can't seem to catch up with bills and rent. So, I got a second job and put all of the money into our wedding savings account, then add money from my regular job whenever I can. You're right, it is hard...I'm exhausted working a full time job, then waitressing 5 nights a week. It S**KS!

FI and I saving money. I know they say to create a budget which I find it hard to do, so we are just saving and taking things as they come along. It's hard but in the end you will make it happen, just I guess when planning and picking things that's when you have to figure out price wise what you can do and also then how many 'extra' things can you do.

My FH opened up his own business in Nov. so that is trying to get going.

We are paying ourselves, and probably taking a loan. I am sure our parets will give generous gifts, but we are not banking on it just to play it safe.

We have been saving in order to pay for everything ourselves. We both have good jobs so that has helped out a lot. My parents threw us an engagment party which helped too.

I am sure we will get nice gifts from both families. But I want to put all that into buying a house.

Well my parents and his parents are slitting the cost of all major vendors...(reception, dj, photgraphers, music..etc..etc) We will pay for the officiant, honeymoon, DOC, all stationery...and extras....

MY parents are payable for the Fox Hollow (A preety big chunk - about half $10,000)
I am paying for photo/florist/dj/dress/invits/gifts/etc
Fh is paying for HM

My mom is paying up to 15-20,000 and FH and I are paying the rest (probably about another 15)

VENT! Its totally okay! We live in NY - weddings aren't cheap.

My mom is paying for the majority of it. We offered to pay for a lot of it and she will only let us pay for the limos. We know how lucky we are, it just bothers me that FH parents haven't evern offered to pay for a thing Which is aggrevating
