ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING ANY DEPRESSION??????

WHY IS IT THAT SOME MEN DONT CARE ABOUT ALL THE DETAILS BUT THEN THEY HAVE TO ADD THERE 2CENTS IN ON LITTLE THINGS???

well my mom is dressing me & lil things along the way , but the chunk is us

FH's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner.....but everything else we will be paying for.

We're going to attempt to save as much as we can...we have a mortgage so its hard. I'm hoping to save at least $20K and the rest will have to go on plastic (maybe another 10K) but we'll see how well we save....FH is considering a 2nd job, which would be a huge help!!

Me and FH are doing it ALL ourselves. Think of a wedding, on top of a new mortgage, on top of private school tuition for our 3 year old son. IT'S CRAZY!!!! We want our day to special and nice, but we refuse to take out loans or anything like that. We're doing our best to stick within our planned budget of 20K. May the force be with us

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time!! Please don't feel like you are alone -weddings are REALLY expensive. . .i think everyone stresses over the money unless they arent paying for a thing themselves. . .
this is how we are doing it
FH is paying for all the deposits and the right now expenses. . .
I am saving money every month which will be our final payment on everything ( get an ING account - it is a life saver!)
My parents are paying for some stuff like my dress, accessories, favors, invites, makeup, hair - and if i stay within my budget- possibly flowers!
his parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner. . . i am assuming - although FFIL has decided that it will be a pizza party at the house ( not sure if he was joking about that yet )

i know that a lot of girls on here have done it for 20K or less - i havent figured out how yet since my hall ALONE is over 20K in the dead of winter but maybe you can get some advice from them!

im just ready to hop a plan and go to vegas!!! i am def gonna keep the wedding under 20k.

we originally said he would start with ther deposits and i would save for most of the hall & venders, but its really just me saving right now and we cant agree on the bridal party which is really stressing me out big time!!! there is no reasoning with him!!

he really has no interest in picking out thing bc he says he doesnt know about them, but then all of sudden he has a say in the bridal party.....

we cant agree on one person and its bothering me to no end.........

FH and I are basically on our own too. My mom bought my dress and has been buying little stuff for our apartment but so far EVERYTHING else is on us.

No idea yet if FH's parents are chipping in before the wedding which stinks.
