just curious....

Have any of you NOT gotten a thank you card from a wedding you've been to recently (and I mean recently like 2008)?

I'm sitting here thinking about a wedding I went to and havent gotten a TY card yet. It's been 7 months.

What's the cut off? (I personally dont know this) and I would feel like a real jerk if its a year and Im wondering where my TY card is.

Yeah come to think of it, I'm waiting on one from Feb 04 lololol

And I saw on her Facebook that she DOES infact have pictures, we just never got a thank you card

Etiquette states that the couple has up to a year to send Thank yous. HTH!

Maybe she has her proofs but she is waiting for the photographer to print her thank you cards. I know this can take a while.

The funny thing is that I know for a fact that some people got them, but others did not and it was the ones who hounded the bride for a TY card that got one. When it was brought up that a certain group of people never received one, she was like yea I am working on it!

I was in a wedding in Aug. 2006 and still have not gotten athank you card! AND I was in a wedding Sept 2008 and never got a thank you card from them either. So tacky!

I think you should start them as soon as you get home from the honeymoon.

Get them out of the way. But its just a good way to say thank you for coming to the wedding.

Its just tacky to not send them!

And you dont have to do it that soon. Its just nice to send the card when the wedding was fresh on everyones mind.

i agree that it is tacky not to send them, but there is no way you can send them as soon as you get home from the HM, especially if your photog didn't give you the pics yet...unless of course you are doing non-pic thank you's

I went to a wedding in 2004 and NEVER got a thank you note!!!! I know they sent them out because she mentioned something to me about it when i was talking about my photographer...oh well..maybe it got lost. I know they got my gift because it was a check and it was cashed..
