LOL.. I was aiming for 6 months.. I *thought* they were ordered in April, but I was wrong... they weren't yet!! So now I am aiming for mid to end of June when they come in.

6-12 months is normal, it really depends on the type of card and when you get your proofs from your photog.

That being said... I wend to a wedding in October 2006... I got the thank you in spring of 2008

Kim did you get your pro photos yet? I keep waiting for them to show up on your facebook page or for you review. Nice job on the cakes though.

I went to a wedding June 2008 and never got a Thank You card, I kinda find it rude, not only did we not get a thank you card but the Bride and groom didnt say hello to anyone at the RH or goodbye when we were leaving, we handed out envelope to the parents and they handed us a favor.....I felt like we werent even at a wedding. TACKY!

Re: just curious....

I think etiquette these days states 3 months is preferable for thank you notes. I would be mortified sending someone a thank you a full year after the wedding.

i figure if you can sign my check, you can sign a card!

I also recently got a pre-printed thank you note. Nothing says that the couple appreciates your gift like an impersonal stock message!

My bil/sil didnt get their pictures back for 9 months!! But they sent out thank you cards before the picture one because they knew that it would be that long

I think according to etiquette, you have a year to send out the thank yous for a wedding. Sometimes the photographer holds things up.

I'm still waiting for a card from an August 2008 wedding! Maybe it got lost in the mail in the move. . .

Then again, she's had a VERY rough year. . .finishing a second masters, lots of crap going down in her school. . .I think I can forgive her.
