How many of you are having a say in what your groom/groomsmen wear at the wedding? I always thought I'd let me FH decide on his own, but the more and more I think about it, the more I want to be involved.

I've definitely put my input.. because I want to make sure they are color coordinated with the bm's and I want to make sure he picks ties rather than bowties...

I think I'm letting FH take the lead on this one. Not really too picky on what they are wearing but FH has said in the past that he's not too crazy about colored vests so I think our groomsmen will be in plain black tuxes.
I will most definitely be picking the boutinneers though to make sure they coordinate with my bridesmaid's bouquets

FH has already decided and discussed with the GMs that he does not want to wear tuxes, but designer suits instead. As far as I know the guys are all in agreement so they'll all go together to purchase their suits.
We are planning on purchasing all the guys ties as part of their gift. I also left it up to FH if he wants to guys to wear shoes or some kind of sneaker. We were originally leaning towards shelltop adidas but haven't really discussed it much - but like I said, totally his decision. I'm cool with whichever way he goes.
EDIT: also i'm not sure if I would go with them when they buy their suits. I just think of that as a 'guy thing' to do and they will probably go eat afterward and get a drink or something knowing them so I wouldn't want to get in the middle of that lol

I'm trying to....and when it comes down to it, I will definitely have to approve all final decisions, but I want to let him have a lot of flexibility with that part of the wedding.
Sometimes boys just don't make the best fashion decisions and we need to assist for EVERYONE'S best interest!

I showed FH a pic from a magazine of a look that I thought was cool. He agreed and that's what we are going with (tan suits, white shirts, blue ties and flip flops). We picked out the flip flops and he picked out the ties that we are buying for the guys. I just have to do the research as to where I can find the suit rental here and in Seattle where his 2 GM are. So it's been a combined effort.

I am the director of the wedding show!! LOL
For the record, FH wouldnt know what he was doing.. he makes me dress him now , never mind on our wedding day! He wont even shop without me.
