Just wanted to ask the ladies in here - is anyone's family member marrying them?? My dad is the officiant for our wedding - I think it is going to be very emotional but he asked us and we told him OF COURSE -

Not us, but two separate friends of ours did.
My best friend was married by her two uncles - both ministers. One did most of the ceremony and the other did one portion of it.
Another friend of mine was married by her father at his church. Unfortunately it was a bit awkward because her dad never even referred to the fact that this was his DAUGHTER! He kept saying things like 'this woman' etc. It was not personal at ALL.

Yes I am so excited - We weren't going to use my dad - we wanted him to enjoy the ceremony but he said he wouldn't see it any other way. I think I am going to cry the entire time. But it shoudl be interesting when he tells my FH he can kiss me
