hi everyone. i guess you could call me engaged although i had to do the proposing. is there anyone else out there with a stubborn groom to be. i wanna hear all about it. heres mine

first of all ive been with my bf for almost seven years. and i had to ask him to marry me and convince him to do it. dont get me wrong were in love but hes the kinda guy thats happy with things as they are. now that hes agreed every thing i sugest he doesnt want to do !!! aauugggghh why are men so STUBBORN and PIGHEADED

Hitting you is not the ONLY way to mistreat you

If you have to 'CONVINCE' him to get married after you have already had a child with him and have been together for as long as you have, I think there is a problem.

He needs to realize what he has and it doesn't sound like he does.

You don't have to have a big wedding - have a small, intimate wedding at a really nice restaurant. Just invite immediate family

I know someone in a similar situation - been with the guy for many years (no kids though) and she really does nag him all the time about proposing. They even went to 'couples counseling' and the counselor let her know that although he may eventually propose to her the real issue is will they have a happy marriage since she is trying to drag him to the altar.

She has 'invested' years with this guy. I guess she wants it to end in marriage but I am not so sure that will happen.

I think that's great that you asked him BUT it sounds like more of a struggle here. I think I speak for alot of people when I say 'don't settle'. Please please please re-evaluate here. If it truly is mutual, then that's wonderful.
