Just for fun-what led you to choose your dress, you favorite thing about your dress!

For some fun, lets talk about why you knew your dress was THE DRESS!

For me, I wanted something that wasn't too embellished. I also love empire waists...i tried on a bunch of dresses, and I fell in love with mine! I often wear empire waist dresses and I though that it was incredibly flattering and it makes me feel like a princess!

How about you?

My dress was chsoen because I love Lace and originally was going to have a destination wedding so we wanted something not too heavy . Chiffon dresses looked AWFUL on me though that was originally what i wanted. BUT it wasn't THE dress once we changed our venue...

-shrugs- but it looked ok and we couldnt afford to buy another dress so I made due and chose accessories I loved instead.

I chose my dress because :
1. I do not like strapless or spaghetti straps so my dress is a halter which I love!! accentuates my small bust!!
2. My dress has a corset top which accentuates my smaller waist.
3. It's a princess cut so it hides my booty and thighs!!
4. When I tried it on I had a huge smile and had tears in my eyes!!
And this is why I chose my dress!!
I can't wait to pick it up this Wednesday!!

1) I loved the beading & design
2) I loved the lace on the bottom
3) I loved how the top is like a corset.

After looking at myself in the mirror for a few seconds, I just fell in love. It was perfect for me.

I picked my dress for the elaborate details and the way it fit and looked on me.

an 08er participating......

I knew I didn't want strapless because I have a bigger bust.

I tried on halters and felt like it was overwhelming my smaller shoulders.

As soon as I put it on, I just had 'the feeling'.

I tried on other dresses and felt like I was 'cheating' on my dress!! So I went back and ordered it!

I chose my dress because of how it wasn't a typical wedding gown- I didn't want too much going on in the front, but I still wanted some glam I also knew I wanted a dress with a dropped waist.

And here it is!

I fell in love with mine on the rack. I loved the embroidered look to it. I am not a big fan of beading. I also liked that it was ivory and a butter rum color. The train was beautiful on it also. Once I tried it on I just knew that that was THE DRESS!!!

I wanted many things in a dress-pleats, beading on the body, beading on the train->no beading on the bottom of the skirt in the front----but I wanted something that was fun and not too grown. My original dress love was Suzanne (maggie) but I started to want more in the back of the dress...so I went with Genevieve instead....and I LOOOOOVE the back of the dress, it was different and thats important to me!

I didn't want a big poofy dress, cause that just wasn't me, and I didn't want strapless either as I knew I'd be hiking it up all night long. So my dress is the perfect one: has straps that are just thick enough to compliment the line, has a v-neck and back which elongates my torso and neck, side rouching to flatter my body type and the best part of the entire dress: it has buttons that go from the top of the dress in the back to the bottom of the hem. I it.

I wanted a box pleat skirt with a dropped waist.... and I couldn't afford a 3k gown, which most box pleat dropped waist gowns cost when I was shopping (fall 2006)...

I bought my gown sight unseen from san patrick.... (sight unseen becuase pronovias is notorious for having very few sample gowns to try on) I loved it... exactly what I wanted, and from RK bridal no frills, it cost about $700

i wanted a dress with a lot of work on it
i totally fell in love with my dress the second i put it on - it had everything i wanted and most importantly i felt like a princess in it
