Just gave FI his 'engagement' ring

I am so excited and happy right now. I really wanted to give my FI a ring to commemorate our engagement. I spent a long time thinking about what ring to get him (since he didn't want a band until the wedding). I decided to get him a claddagh ring, because it signifies faith, love, & loyalty. It took me forever to find a nice one but I did. I ordered it on Sunday and it came today. FI and I work together, so a few minutes ago, he came into my office. I told him I had a surprise for him and asked when he wanted it. He said now, so I closed my door, got down on one knee, opened the ring box and asked if he would marry me. He said yes (no surpise there!) and looked so happy. The ring looks great on him!! Just had to share!

That is sooooo sweet!

I wanted to get FH that too! But he isn't even going to wear a wedding band when we get married, so he wouldn't wear it...

What a nice FI you are!

That is so nice! If FH would wear a ring I would get one for him. I'm looking into bracelets, because randomly one day he said he would like one.

Thats really cool. I wanted to do something like that, but FH told me the only ring he would ever wear is a wedding ring. SO oh well.

I gave one to FH about 6 months into our relationship...At that time it was 'my promise' to him ring...He wears it everyday religiously!
