I am so excited and happy right now. I really wanted to give my FI a ring to commemorate our engagement. I spent a long time thinking about what ring to get him (since he didn't want a band until the wedding). I decided to get him a claddagh ring, because it signifies faith, love, & loyalty. It took me forever to find a nice one but I did. I ordered it on Sunday and it came today. FI and I work together, so a few minutes ago, he came into my office. I told him I had a surprise for him and asked when he wanted it. He said now, so I closed my door, got down on one knee, opened the ring box and asked if he would marry me. He said yes (no surpise there!) and looked so happy. The ring looks great on him!! Just had to share!

That is so great. How sweet. I should have read your post b4 I posted mine for gift ideas for the engagement.
While we were looking for my ring, he said would you consider wearing claddagh wedding bands. I said to be honest, I'm not Irish and just wouldn't feel comfortable. He did get me a wonderful claddagh ring w/ an emerald/diamonds from Ireland for Valentine's Day last year that I always wear.
But that would be a wonderful gift for him!!! I'd love the website!
