How much did you/are you spending on your BM's for their gifts.
I was thinking 50. Is that too little??? FH says it is. Keep in mind we are not rich. HE says at least 75 to a 100 on each BM.

It depends on how many you have. I have 5 and 3 jrs to buy for. I spent a little over 50 on each bm, got moh a little extra something, and the jrs were 25 each.

Funny - was just going to write a post on this. Originally I spent $85-90 per BM, but once I received their wedding gifts, and after hosting THREE freaking dinners at my apt. for them, I decided to return the more expensive gifts for lesser expensive gifts. I went to fortonoffs and bought cute jewelery boxes for around $65. I'm happy with this...I just figure that THEY should be spending more on US. Am I wrong?!

You are not being mean, you are just hurt and us brides tend to be a bit selfish at times. I think we all go through it at one point.
Maybe b/c you feel like you did more than what you had to do and you didn't get what you deserved in return....
I am sure they meant well in despite of their lousy gift.

I have 2 Honors, 4 Bridemaids, 3 jr. bridesmaids, a flowergirl, a usherette, and 2 readers. Because I have such a large party my gifts were around $25.00 per person. I found items on sale.

I only have 3 BM, 1 MOH and my daughter as my flower girl!!! Love her!!!!
So maybe $75 is fine after all.

I spent about $50 on each girl, and FH will spend about the same on his guys, if he ever 'gets around to it!!'

here's a good example, for my sisters wedding shower, we bought all of her bedding, over $400 and we each got her a gift on our own, there are 4 of us. she is giving us the tiffany initals necklaces, abotu $125 each, which i think is completely appropriate

i had 7 BMs and 5 GMs and 4 readers.
we spent about $150/ each on the girls, $130 +/- on the guys, and about $30 on each reader.
we were really strict with our budget, but we REALLY felt that this was where we should splurge. when you think about it, the BP pays a ridiculous amount of money just to BE a BM... and while its a huge honor, its also a HUGE expense. I understand people think that maybe their BP didnt give them huge gifts for certain things, but think about how many possible things they have to pay for:
engagement party gift bridal shower gift bridal shower bachelorette party Dress hair shoes wedding gift
we just wanted them to feel like they got back part of what they put into it

in the ballpark of $50-$125 (I know that's broad, but everyone was really different. I got things I thought they would like, and didn't really stick to a 'same amount of money for everyone' thing)

I totally agree with this! We are spending more then most of the people that posted, but it's because we wanted to honor them for being part of our special day.
Since I am paying for their hair along with their gifts, I'm spending over $200 on the girls. We're spending a lot less on the guys, b/c they don't have nearly the same expense as the girls, but still over $100 for them.

I spent more...only because I am making a beach bag with all goodies in it..the thing is i was buying things a little at a time and it added up. I guess I dont realize when I buy a little at a time but i think i am am looking at 150 each maybe a lil more...but if i didnt buy a little at a time i would totally just spend like 75 each.

I spent about $50 on each member of my BP in terms of jewelry and little trinkets for them. In addition to that - I also paid for their hair and makeup to be done for the day of the wedding

well we have 7 Bm 2 JBM and 1 FG 7 GM 2 JGM and 1 RB
thats 20 people to buy for
the girls we got earring/necklace sets and i went to AC moore and bought little jewlery boxes ( $1.50 )that i am going to stain and paint in the flower in the middle of the box
the guys we are getting a large bottle of their favorite alcohol and a set of shot glasses
the kids i am giving them each a personalized book with them as the main characters and ummmm at the DOLLAR TREE i am giving them baskets/or buckets and filling them up with all different coloring books, crayons, etc....
i mean we are 100% paying for this wedding.....i cant afford coach bags and tiffany cuff links (WHICH i WISH WE COULD DO THIS!!) but we CANT...so in reality..do what YOU can do....its not about the gift..its about YOUR wedding!!

So far I've spent about thirty dollars on each bridesmaid, a bit more for my maid of honor. I have a Maid of Honor, a Matron of Honor, Six Bridesmaids and a Flowergirl. He doesn't know what he's doing for the guys yet. I'm just picking up little things for each girl.
