Just got back from my 1st venue visit @ med. manor...why do I still feel so clueless?
Hello, I just visited med. manor. The place was nice but I wasn't wowed. The price is excellent for me. I still feel like I have no idea what I am doing or what I am looking for. How will I feel when I know that I have the right venue?

I think you should keep looking. You will find another place with the right price that will 'wow' you.

I know how you feel!!! We visited 3 total RHs. The first one - eh....we just felt regular about it. The second one - got a better feeling, FH thought it was cool...but the last one.....
So my suggestion is to go look at a couple of other venues. You will know it, when you walk in (TRUST)!!!!
Although, I still feel nervous about booking. Because we only went to 3 places and I wonder what I'm missing out on...but I feel almost positive that the 3rd one we saw is it.
Good luck with your search and enjoy it!!!! I was soooo stressed when I first started.
Also take advantage of this site...you learn so much from the posts (about what questions to ask vendors, price, etc.).

i only looked at 1 place .... FH was sold immediately.... I wasnt... so no, it might not just give you that 'feeling' .... I needed to go back a 2nd time to really feel like it definately for me.... narrow your search to just a couple of other places ... i would say do like a top 3 sort of thing and choose out of that... otherwise, the more places you see, the more confused you'll get, IMO

you will just know when you found the one....also in your budget is brentwood country club, and sunset harbour...i would check them out

I am actually going to a wedding there at the end of this month. I'll let you know how it is.
Keep looking though...there are sooo many places that can fit in a budget. Good luck!

There are certain criteria which you may want to keep in mind while you're doing your search. First it might be good to get a rough guestlist. This tells you how many people you might have at the wedding and it will automatically cross alot of places off your list. Then you might want to look at price. Then what they offer like food, viennese hour, chair covers etc. Also how close is the place to where your having the ceremony or to where you live? These are just some of the things that i considered before i found the place of my dreams! Good Luck!!!

We had said that we didn't want to go crazy looking at too many venues - so we limited ourselves to five. We had our top choice in mind, but when we met with WM we just kept giving each other little glances... When the BM left the room for a second, we both grabbed hands and knew this was THE place!!! Luckily the price was right otherwise we would have been bummed Good luck - you'll know when it's the right place!
