Just got back from my first Nutrisionist appointment

It was sooooo great. The woman Patty was so nice and easy to talk to. She weighed and measured me, she gave me a shopping list of things to buy. She even planned out my meals for the next week. I learned so many things in the 1 hour. So many things that I thouhgt I was doing good was the complete opposite.

This is a ten week program and I meet with her once a week. She said my goal is absolutely obtainable and I should have no problem succeeding.

Sexy, hot, wedding pics here I come

that's awesome that you took the initiative and went to visit a nutritionist Is this something covered by your health insurance or are you paying privately?

I was just about to ask, does our teacher insurance cover a nutritionist? There is one a my internist's office and I always forget to call and ask if Empire covers it. Then when I do remember, the office is closed. DOH!

It kind of sounds like the south beach diet. They want you to eat many small meals like that so you are never really hungry. I say go for it and hopefully it works for you and you enjoy it!! I learned that if you deny yourself something than you want it more, my problem is moderation!

Unfortunetly this is not covered by my insurance. It was a x-mas present from fh . I think he said it was like $55 a session. If anyone would like her contact info just let me know

Well unless I get some serious surgery, there won't be any hot, sexy wedding pix. I'm just hoping to drop 50 lbs if I can even manage that by my wedding. I have like 150 to lose, I'm seriously obese. I'm meeting with a nutritionist at the end of the month and I finally got my fat butt back to the gym on Thurs, Fri and Saturday.

thanks for sharing. Its good to know that those lean cuisines that I thought were good and tasted not so good really arent that healthy for you.

I decided all of a sudden to lose weight in 2007. I am lazy as can be and was 30 lbs overweight.

Since February of 2007 I lost 30 lbs.

I did it all with the help of a free calorie counting website. It would be great for you because it has a nutritionist on their also and tons of recipes and calorie counts for all types of Food. Ways to plan good meals and advice on eating mindfully.

I literally learned how to eat properly there and regained control of my life am now a size 0/2 down from 8/10!! PM me if anyone wants to know the website address. It's definitely a lifestyle change.

I am not financially affiliated with the site, just a huge junkie of it as I have maintained my weightloss effortlessly since September!

Nothing felt better than fitting into wedding gowns so beautifully. Since I had convinced myself that being overweight was my calling, I never imagined I would be slender again for my wedding day.
