Just got engaged

Hello Everyone,
I have heard wonderful things about this chat area from a friend so i thought i would join. i recently got engaged on Sunday and am looking to have a July or August 2004 wedding on LI. I am considering Sans Souci, Stewart Manor and North Ritz. Any Feed abck on these would be great. heres what i am looking for... 1 weeding at a time, can get married at the place, saturday night, 100-125 people at around 100- 110 with tax and gratuity pp.
Any advice is greatly apreciated. :)

Congratulations! You'll find this board to be very, very helpful!

My FI and I were also looking for a Saturday wedding in July or August (though during the day) with about the same number of people and have our ceremony there. I wasn't thrilled with the ceremony place at the North Ritz Club. When we walked outside, the lawn was overwatered and therefore muddy. Also, we did see traffic, but I know that bamboo was just planted, so that may cover up Jericho turnpike. The indoor ceremony place looked weird. I was upset because I loved everything else about this place! If we weren't getting married at our reception site, we would have booked NRC.

Have you thought about where you are taking your pictures? Because we are having our ceremony and reception at the same place, we decided to do pictures there as well, so finding a place with beautiful grounds became important. Stewart Manor has a small area with a beautiful gazebo, so that is definitely doable for pictures. The banquet manager there is very nice and it seems you get a lot for your money there. I never visited San Soucci but people on this board have raved about it! Good luck planning!

Congrats!! Don't quote me, but I think North Ritz will be a little more than $110 a person, but I'm not sure. I went to look at it last year, before I was engaged even, and Dennis quoted me $85 + tax + grat. for a Saturday morning in March. I'm not good with bargaining, so I just left. Also, I called Sans Souci last month, and the woman asked how many people I was having, and when I'm looking to have the wedding. I said, June, or July '04, on a Saturday night. She told me the minimum was 150, so I didn't bother looking. I did visit Stewart Manor and I'm almost positive they fall in your price range, and they do one wedding at a time. Anyhow, good luck!!

i am also an 04 bride!
I just looked at Sans Souci, I was told the minimum for a Saturday night in September was 125 people. Also, remember minimums can be negotiated. The price they quoted me was in your price range. I am not sure if they can accommodate a ceremony on site since I did not inquire about that.
I booked the NRC, the minimum and the cost pp is a bit higher than the range you mentioned for a Saturday night. Also, they have a room for ceremonies but it is not very warm or attractive (in my opinion), I think they can hold ceremonies outside on the grounds as well, they have a big lawn and a gazebo. You can see the traffic on Jericho Tpke. but I was told they are putting up a fence around the perimeter of the property that will block the view of the traffic.
