My dentist wanted me to do this but I can't handle the cost of it right now.

Congrats on picking them up and getting done with them by labor day

Re: Just Got Invisalign!

they do work, you just have to be commited.I have them as well but I am so bad with keeping them in. For the 1st 3 months I was loving it after that I couldnt be bothered. I should start again.

You actually see the difference pretty quickly

OMG i love her eyes - she has people eyes just like Pumpkin they even do the same pose Pumpkin is SOOOOOOO bad we are so afraid of leaving her to go on our honeymoon - she is the reason we havent been on a real vacation yet! FH's mom is going to watch her when we go but she is sooo hard to walk - she goes nuts when she sees other dogs and FH and I only trust ourselves walking her - so his Mom is having a deck built off of her kitchen and a fence put up just so she can let Pum outside in the backyard to go to the bathroom can you imagine - all that to watch a dog!

it was REALLY expensive....im sure i could have gotten them cheaper maybe if i shopped around or did the NYU thing but because of the wedding being under 1 year away i wanted it done as soon as possible so i just went to a friends cousin - it was more than 5K but i try not to think about it FH is helping me pay - he is paying the majority of it - we spent so much on our photo and video that the last thing i want to happen is that i hate the pics and video because of my teeth - so FH said just do it - they are the one thing that will last after the wedding is over (well as long as i wear my retainer ) but it totally ***** paying for them!!!!!

Re: Just Got Invisalign!

Congrat girls. I have to tell you though its a life changing experience. Make sure you adapt to it comfortably. I just completed mine 1 month ago. I am still wearing the same tray only to see if I need further work. I have to tell you, it's perfect. I wore mine for 8 months and sometimes it was a pain in the a s s.

Some tips to remember.

- Change each new tray right before going to bed and take an advil. It's doesnt hurt, just feels more like pressure.

- Stock up on nutriments shakes. I think the reason mine worker quikcer was because every time I changed a new tray, I left it in for 16 hours straight and all I did was drink shakes with a straw.

- Buy dentcare tablets in the pharmacy. It's like $6.00 for a box of 50. You should soak your trays in them for at least 15 mintues every night because it will keep the trays shiny.

- Always brush you teeth and floss before you put them back on. You dont want junk or gunk sticking in your teeth when you put them back on.

- If you have trouble taking them out and feel like your teeth is getting ripped out, pull from the back first.

Sorry for the long post. I know how excited you are because I was too when I first got mine. The only negative thing I have to say about invisalign is that I hated taking it out to eat 4-5 times a day so I just ate like 1-2 and it' worse that way. I think I must have gained 5lb from eating one big meal at night.

Good Luck~~~

I strategically pose in pictures at a certain angle and smile a certain way so you can't see them! One of my front teeth is crooked and it sticks out a little bit - also when i smile for real or laugh it looks like my teeth end after my fang teeth - my arch is really narrow so it looks like i have no teeth back there - but once again i always turn my head to the side in pictures so you can see that i have teeth back there and my bottom are all crooked!! I have been a master at disguising them!
