ok, I've regained my composure.

I applied to 2 jobs...but I must say...you can tell the economy is down the tubes because I don't get NEARLY as many job posting returns as when I used to search. it's slim pickins...

BUT Tomorrow...I am going to enjoy my birthday. My husband wants me to go shooting in connecticut with him...it'll be good to get my aggressions out...and the nature will be good for me to relax.

Sunday I'm going to take pics of things I need to get rid of and try to sell them on ebay to make us some more of a cushion until I get a new job.

Monday I'm going to the unemployment office bright and early to see what my options are to make sure my bills get paid and we're not eating ramen noodles. Then I'm going job hunting in roosevelt field mall or the shopping strip where I worked.

if that turns up nothing...I'll start with recruiting agencies and see what jobs I can find in Manhattan since thats where the $ is.

thank you so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers ladies! I'm feeling a good deal better and while I'm still scared of an uncertain future...I'm a lot more optimistic than I was friday evening. I applied for unemployment today and I have to go back and claim my 'waiting week on the 7th...then after that I SHOULD recieve unemployment checks if all goes through. Hopefully I won't need them for long.

The good thing about this situation is that we realized we can rely and live on DH's income solely if we needed to...so at least we know when we are ready to have babies we will be ok. BUT...I am anxious to get me a job. Just pray for me that I find a work environment I love. The job I just lost happened to be the best work environment I've ever been in...and it makes me angry that it ended with no warning like it did...but I hope to move on to something just as good or better!

on the bright side...now i get to cook my DH dinner when he gets home from work...AND I can take a few mins to break all their records on the wii fit when theyre not watching...but rght now...I'm off to apply to some more jobs.

I'm soo sorry to here this. I completely understand your situation, tomorrow is my last day at my job. I'll be filing for unemployment also becuase as a consultant we don't qualify for severance.
