Just got our marriage license!

FH and I just got back from the Town of Oyster Bay for our marriage license. It was so easy - I know there has been confusion on this board about what's needed, etc., but we just needed our passports, and driver's licenses, and paid $25 with a personal check. We were in and out in about 10 minutes.
They were very nice too

22 more days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! That must be such a great feeling. Why did you need a passport? Did you just need 2 forms of picture id?

Wow..you got lucky. Mine took about an hour.

I went last Thursday but I got mine in Queens. In the city (or at least in Queens) it is $30 and it has to be a money order. I saw people get thrown off line when because they did not have a money order. You needed ID (license or passport) and a money order.

Yep, it's $5 cheaper on LI!

They don't specifically ask for a passport, but 2 govt issued photo IDs - if you search for the Town online, you can find a complete listing of acceptable ID.

forgot to mention - we also got a goodie bag! it was lame though - deoderant, tupperware and trial sizes of Downey and Wisk!

By this stage in the game I think we have the deoderant think covered by now.....LOL
