with my FH...we're talking about our Honeymoon. We're both really active, and love to hike, ski, swim...whenever we go on vacation we're constantly on the go. I really want to try and RELAX on our honeymoon (for a change). He thinks that I have some preconceived notion of what a honeymoon should be and that just relaxing on a beach somewhere is not for us. He wants to go to Alaska, Grand Canyon....I just want to chill...I don't really want to argue about this, and told him he is free to plan our honeymoon, but I just don't think of romance when I think of hiking the Grand Canyon...anyone with me? Or am I crazy...should I just let him plan?

Re: Just had an argument...
Maybe you could split your HM so that for half of it you're doing active things and for the remainder you can just chill.

Seeing where you guys are coming from I agree with you. If you guys have gone on a bunch of active vacations why not take this chance to kick back and just enjoy each other? You can still do excursions on a tropical island like diving and fishing and what not.
For FH and I we haven't really had the chance to go on many vacations together so we decided we wanted to take this chance to go to Ireland cause it's a place we both always wanted to go to and we don't know if we'll get back to Europe anytime soon.

I have to say, I definetly would NOT let him plan! I think that you should find a place that is suitable for both of you. What about Mexico? They have amazing beaches and wonderful ruins that you can visit, lot's of things to do, but at the same time relaxing. Good Luck!!!

yeah - you have to be able to compromise on this. Split it 50/50.

Re: Just had an argument...
I can say that me and FH are completely the opposite. He is very active and wants to get out and do things...me-drop me on a beach and I will be good for weeks! So we decided that we are going to go to a place that has a little bit of both->where yet is still undecided
What if you go somewhere that has the activities for FH and the relaxation that you want to so that you can have the best of both worlds?
